2019 Tour De France

Who's your pick for this year's Tour? No Chris Froome. No Tom Dumoulin. Only one individual time trial of 27km. 3 big days in the mountains before the final stage. I think this is made for MoviStar. I know he isn't team leader but I'd like to see Mik

Still Anyone’s Season

  1. Well, we already were before Dylan Brown got injured. That was a good combo him and Moses had going and the rest of the team was falling into place around it. Now it’s just not happening.

Newie were going like Busted’s before they played Parra but no

Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur replied to Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur's discussion Why the new rules suit the Eels
"Ball control has always been a theme for us. But I see the rules, given they're supposed to support more open play and a faster ruck, as assisting us more than teams like Cronulla and even Melbourne given how structured their systems are.
Now just b…"

Hell On Eels replied to Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur's discussion Why the new rules suit the Eels
"Super, Superbly written as usual. Journalist quality,  following in Phil's footsteps.
I agree the battle of the ruck is now on steroids: even more critical to win, quicker. You can gain ascendancy and momentum quicker.
But, as good as we've played…"

Muttman replied to Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur's discussion Why the new rules suit the Eels
"Parra having all the ball was deliberate. Ball control is a real theme this year and in both Titans and Broncos games the Eels strangled the opposition and ran over them in the final 30 minutes. Good to see"

Frankie Fong replied to Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur's discussion Why the new rules suit the Eels
"So the new rules suit Parra based on one game against a team that had  zero ball ? Against a team where Parra had 50 sets ?

Lets all hope Super has not gone off prematurely and is actually right about something for a change because being wrong is…"

Longfin Eel replied to Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur's discussion Why the new rules suit the Eels
"Agreed. The way Parra came out last Thursday it was almost as if BA had anticipated the fast game way back during the offseason. He likes to keep his players fit and forwards able to play long minutes. Paulo could easily play 80 min, which is insane…"

Sir SuperEel 22 Hail King Arthur replied to the eggman's discussion Manly v Parra
"Brisbane made the eight last year. They beat the Cowboys and Bunnies in round one and two. Their 7 is good. Melbourne let go the wrong player in Croft. Turpin is a good hooker. What they have is a lack of experience in the forwards. Aside from Alex…"

Parra fan on The Hill replied to the eggman's discussion Manly v Parra
"It was a great win, but I don't think they'll make the 8. Not enough experience nor leadership. Weak at 7 and 9.

Parra fan on The Hill replied to the eggman's discussion Manly v Parra
"The Broncos have talent to burn. They lack halves, experience and leadership desperately though. They looked rudderless against us. They are hit 'n miss for 8th spot. I personally don't think they'll make the top 8.

the eggman replied to the eggman's discussion Manly v Parra
"something else which seems to have been overlooked somewhat is that last week was an away game.and we won it convincingly against a top 8 side(take note Fwank)lets hope that trend is put to rest this year also. "

Parra fan on The Hill replied to the eggman's discussion Manly v Parra
"He did kill us. Their forwards were running through our middle like a hot knife does to butter. This was one of our worst games against a team that struggled for 2/3 of the season and ended up being belted several times."

Six on the bench?

While there is no reserve grade would it make sense to have six on the bench. Still the same number of interchanges but coaches can use all six if they choose too. This would mean that if teams have injuries the replacements would have had some game…
