Tepai Moeroa

I dont watch alot of Storm games unless i have nothing else to do, but was impressed with Teps game tonight.

he is off contract from what i can find, if we cant bring Papali'i home, I wouldnt mind looking to see if he would come back to us

was always a fan when he played for us, but he did seem disinterested at times, but being in the Storm system has no doubt been good for him

  • I don't think we need another middle forward when we are light on for backline depth.

  • As much as I like/d Tep, the Eels don't need more forwards unless they are trading some of what they already have. A strike centre/fullback/winger is where the Eels need to put their focus into.

    • Interestingly enough I always thought centre was Tepai's correct position as the young 18 year old brought into first grade. Before he settled in he had a shoulder injury which stopped him in his tracks as the forward we all thought he could be.

How ironic if they had stuck to keeping him where he was playing (centre in Rugby Union) he may still be there now. I think training the right edge forward in the centres is a good way to start a promising young player and blooding him into first grade, Jock Brazil and Charlie Guymer I think started in the centres and so did Doorey who I thought could have gone into the centres when we had problems there early in the season. Usually they are big enough to handle the defensive role and run lines! which is not much more than a centre does in the modern game.

  • If thats the best Tepai performs at the best club in the league with the best system in the league then no thanks. Another concussion and the bloke will be forced into retirement

  • I remember when Moeroa made his first grade debut, Andrew Voss, Gould etc said on the commentary team he was going to be the next big thing, they even threw in names such as "Sonny Bill Williams" etc. It all seemed to go downhill from there for him.

Disclosure Day

What would you think if definitive proof of alien life emerged? Would it consign all religious thought to, as Mark Twain once predicted, the fate of a stuffed ornament in museums? How would suggestive confirmation of the principles of uniformity and…
