    • Unless they want him to play 7 which i dont think he will be good at. I could be way off but i doubt Dogs go for him. They have Burton and Mitchell Woods as a 7.

Galvin and Burton halves pairing wont work as they are both runners.

Penrith i reckon are our competition.

      • I think  unless someone offers ridiculous money parra will be his choice

      • The more I think about it, the more I could see Gus pulling this rabbit out of his hat.

Panthers seem a contender. Rabbits? Manly? Dragons will try?

We'll try. Not sure being a Parra fan growing up or MM's sweet whispers will be enough. But we can dream. We'd need to offer something ridiculous.

Roosters - doubt it. Politis seems too principled, even if Isaac offers a bridge-mending sweetener. Outside odds, IMO.

Gus doesn't believe a huge contract for Galvin is the right move. Nor does he believe there are many million dollar players out there. Maybe if Laundy sponsors it with a huge top up - somewhere in the "Arm's Length TPA Universe". His clubs need plenty of inventory.  But Gus could see himself as the right father figure for Galvin, to navigate through the pit falls of a huge contract and huge pressure lol.

Plenty of clubs will line up. Issac is already talking to suitors no doubt. Will be interesting theatre.

PS: What's the point of a Shane Richardson or Harry Triguboff if the Tigers lose Galvin?

        • Only thing is HOE, Galvin is a 6. Burton is a 6.

Burton played better with a proper 7 like Sexton who simplifies their attack. Dogs will move with Mitchell Woods and Sexton for the future. If anything DCE makes more sense.

Roosters if they do not go for DCE, will be favourites.

For me, we are favourites mainly because his ties to the club. My concern is Penrith, he tried to get a release last year to join Penrith this year before they signed Talagi. They could go for him again, use Talagi at Centre or Wing.

Dolphins will go for him, imagine a pairing of Katoa and Galvin, young pairing but a promising one. But doubt he moves to QLD and Katoa could go back to Sydney so they need a 7.

Souths are not a bad shout HOE, with Walker coming to the end but they do also have Wighton.

Manly want a 7 and Fogarty is their man. Leave Brooks at 6.

Dragons could pair him with Atkinson and but they have Flanagan at 6. Shane wont move Kyle unless it is to 9 and they have Cook.

I think Penrith are a legit chance. They wanted him before they got Talagi. Talagi they can still use elsewhere if they choose. Or cut their losses and offer him back to us to get Galvin lol.

          • LB, agree. I see the Panthers in the mix. Rabbits, Manly too. The thing with Gus is for all the reasons he's publically stated against it, he could see himself as the right father figure to help Galvin's career through the pitfalls of all this hooplah. And as a premiership winner.

            • HOE i reckon there is a strong chance he is here in 2026. I doubt the Tigers keep him when they have Fainu in lower grades, get him into FG and play as much as possible. We then get Galvin, 20 going on 21, with over 40 NRL games. That is pretty good to have next to Moses. He is different to Brown in Galvin takes risks and i like that. Brown is more a conservative. Galvin can take over if he needs to in games, he did Easter Monday last year.

I am not sure on Manly. Fogarty they are chasing hard for, i don't think they want to put Brooks to 7. Plus they have young Joey Walsh in the wings, he is only 18 and once Fogarty is done after 2 years he comes in.

Souths is not a bad shout, just i feel they have Wighton to go there is all.

If i had to put money on it; Parra, Penrith and Dolphins are the big 3.

              • LB, Can't fault your logic. Panthers, Rabbits, Dogs - are well in the mix. Can't see Dragons pulling it off. Not sure we will either. You're starting to convince me Manly are long shots. But if Fogarty falls through for some reason...

                • If Fogarty falls through, i am not sure Brooks goes to 6. They may just use Joey Walsh.

                  Dogs need a 7.

          • Galvin can play 7, the fact he wants to touch the ball on every play makes him more suited to 7 than 6. Like Thurston,  Galvin will be very capable at both positions.

            • At his age i would not be putting that responsibiliity on Galvin. He would give it a go but he is not suited to 7. Well not yet.

If Dogs sign him as a 7, good luck to him and them.

"I'd be sticking with Iongi at FB and Galvin for 5/8. We all know his manager is ruthless, and it's clearly just a ploy to get him it of his final contract year.
I'd have Cobbo on the wing, but I prefer Iongi at FB because of his ball playing ability."
