Leaving Matterson out is getting weird now. Even Cartwright had good moments in Cup last week. It's not as if we're blessed with edge forwards. Regardless this is a strong side.
He obviously isn't showing the coach what he wants to see from him consistently enough. For far too long under the previous coach underperforming players remained in first grade no matter what, new standards are being set.
Correct HKF , hopefully the days of being a bum and still being selected on past reputation is done. Matto is a flog and he's a mercenary who obviously doesn't display the traits as a clubman that Ryles wants to see in his new culture. I don't think it's that much of a puzzle as to why the blokes on the outer .
