French to 5/8 gutho to FB?

Hiya all I don't know if this has had its own discussion before so I apologise if so...is there any reason why French couldn't be 5/8 and gutho FB? From what I heard French has played a lot of playmaker in the lower grade and gutho is a FB naturally.
