Takairangi could be our Wade Graham

Look what the sharks did with Wade Graham. Takairangi has the ball skills and size to make a transition to the back row. His knees will also benefit and he actually might string a couple of consecutive games since the backrow requires less reaction compared to the centers.

Our team lineup would then be

1. Clint Gutherson
2. Semi
3. Jennings
4. Kirisome
5. Bevan French
6. Will Smith
7. Norman
8. Matagi
9. De Gois /Kaysa
10. Mannah
11. Manu
12. Moeroa
13. Brown
14. Takairangi
15. Vave
16. Alvaro
17. Kenny

  • Beau Scott needs to be there you numbnut

    • Swap Scott for Mannah , Mannah needs to hang the boots up .
    • Takarangi is too brittle. He has varreer ending injury written all over him. If the eels were smart theyd offload him now before its too late

    • Are you saying Taka needs 5kgs or someone else, as he is 108kg, 6'4'' and taller and heavier then Ma'u and Moeroa, and many edge backrowers in the game.  From what I have seen of him this year he looks even heavier then 108kg.  The way things are tracking he looks like he could end up in the forwards as he has lost that sharpness and pace.

  • Hmmm! Don't think so! Wade Graham firstly plays in a different position and secondly Wade Graham plays more minutes in the actual games amd more games on the field than off! Taka is a bit like Peats and too injury prone.
  • Doesn't play tough enough.
  • Honestly with takkas frame and skills he should already be in the backrow i think its his ability to play tough that has held him back
  • You mean he can be our next Ben Smith?
  • ILL be happy with that i would but what about scott he got to be there some where i think i think he still got it just out off form when he get it back look out like last year i think he ready to go out with a big bang and retire this year
  • I actually like Brad although he has his limitations.

He could always fill in a position in the 2nd row as a makeshift for a game or two but he isn't hard enough, doesn't have the work rate, isn't fit enough, aggressive enough nor nasty enough to be a forward.
