Papalii suspended for one NRL match

Canberra have handed Josh Papalii a one-match NRL ban on top of his suspension from the Anzac Test over a drink-driving conviction.

In a statement the club said a one-match suspension was significant enough given he had already been stood down by the Kangaroos for Friday night's Test against New Zealand in Canberra.

The NRL needs to step in. This is an absolute load of crap & shouldn't be allowed to happen. They let the broncos, Roberts get away with multiple off field issues early this season & now the raiders pull this crap. Why do the NRL only seem to get involved when it is certain teams & others are able to do whatever they like. As far as I'm concerned they are giving certain teams an advantage by not stepping in & suspending these players which means they are just cheating. This is his third drink driving charge in as many years & they do nothing. If this dick hadn't back flipped on Parra & was wearing the Blue & Gold now, he would be looking at a minimum of 4 weeks.

I HATE THE NRL COMMISSION.

  • Pathetic, the NRL are as weak as piss.

    Pearce 8 weeks

    Norman 8 weeks

Kenny Kramps 7 weeks for tipping cold water on someone

This prick on his third driving offence gets 1 week.

The NRL should step in but we all know they won't, Peats got a week for some bullshit reason and our club had to cop it sweet.

  • Wasn't it two weeks?
    • 1 nrl match, misses out on the test match. So two games.

  • Sometimes it's very hard to not think The NRL is just some big scripted WWE type shite . But let's not forget Semi had multiple driving episodes and never had to miss one match .
  • Not to mention the week he is suspended they play Newcastle, then of course us the next week when he is available again!
    • It's like not suspending him at all, just resting a good player against a weak club
  • Mate, it's clear as day that the NRL are rigged and they have been for years! Whenever there's big $$$$$$$$$ involved in any business there's always corruption!
  • And people wonder why Super League happened.
  • This NRL, how it's run, which teams seem to be looked after, sure raises a lot of eyebrows!
  • What punishment have people previously gotten for drink driving? I can't remember any recently.
