Rusty is the type of player you hope you only need to call on a few times a year unfortunately he's getting a extended run again.
I'll give him some credit as a centre he looks more comfortable he's had a go and and I can't fault him defensive has been improved.
His goal kicking is not NRL standards im sure Sean would say that but he's putting his hand up to do it. My understanding is Mitch isn't on account of the bone sorness in his left foot the transfer of weight when kicking can lead to issues you have to wonder how no one else can step up Dylan Brown was a kicker coming through the grades but I bet he didn't put his hand up Ryley is a young player its a big step but he did against the Tigers. I'll cut Sean some slack on the kicking department.
Depending on simmos injury we may have a few more weeks with Sean at centre im ok with this but jeez our lack of development in backs over the years is terrible

And that's all we should expect from him.
If we were at full strength then Bailey is probably playing left centre
Yep accurate assessment on what we expect of Russel. He is doing his job as the back up outside back. We all know he goes to reserve grade at full strength.
Yea surprisingly Kautoga actually seemed the most comfortable out of everyone with the catch and pass.
I think so to about Kautonga and while he has a mistake or 2 in him we have to stick we can't continue to chop and change out combinations and expect it to see fruition long term.Kautonga is worth the squeeze. That off load he got with the game on the line was magic.
My biggest concern in the pack is with Hopgood I just don't know what we are getting week in week out.His running game has disappeared and his offloads are sporadic and he still has the propensity to miss a tackle or 2.
But I guess ripping the bandage off has caused these inconsistencies and we have no choice but to stick now.We are still a few players a way from being competitive but I don't see a premiership threat even with roster upgrades.
The only thing now that we can expect from Hopgood are his dumb penalties and silly errors. Him and Junior first thought seems to be play making when they carry the ball instead of breaking the defensive line. This minimize their momentum and impact on carrying the ball. They should just carry the ball hard and then look up for any support players when they break the line, if not, just take tackle and quickly play the ball.
Yep JR is clearing up the forward pack. Just wonder which players he is targetting. Elliot, KPP, Fifita?
He should then keep on practicing it. He knows he is the dedicated kicker so he must push himself eveyday and kick goals.
I dare say the medical staff have made the call on this not Mitch.
I've seen a improvement in Russell's approach when striking the ball his penalty from 45 looked good the whole way but from wide he doesn't seem to know his range 1st choice kickers know this.
I respect Sean for fronting up to take the kicks when others wouldn't
I'd rather Russell than Penisini
Poor ol Sean the encouragement award player of the NRL... He does try in what is one of the most brutal elite sports in the world, he has reasonable defense but has no pass or any evasiveness in attack. If the line is not wide open he cant get over the line....and the goal kicking yikes not even Massey cub standard......geez
