How do you get an exemption from a mandatory rule ? This competition is so fucking contradictory. They stand Brown down after letting Burgess play , and then let Weed play after he is subject to a mandatory rule .
How can you not be of the belief that the NRL have favourite clubs and club bosses . If SuoerLeague was an option tomorrow I'm not too sure I'd be as supportive of the ARL / NRL this time around .
It's a bit of a joke . Is it not enough we have to put up with their officials being able to influence the games on the paddock with their inconsistent rulings , now they're even stepping into changing mandatory rules as they please . It kinda makes you feel like they take the punters for absolute dummies who they can purposely be as corrupt as they like right in front of our noses just to show us we can't do a fucking thing about it , and nobody with a voice in the media will call them out on it .
Clubs have always been able to get a exemption , the just need to get a independent specialist to look at the report of why the player failed his HIA , a players past history of concussions and then they do a examination.
Is it a dodgy process ? Yes
Is a player going to be truthful at the examination about any symptoms they may be suffering from ? Of course not .
But when a player gets an exemption he needs to sign a document which protects the NRL .
"We should have iced this game easily but blew it with dropped and pinched balls.
Russell can't convert from wide, but will Lomax take over the kicking next week or will he follow Mitchells concern with re-injuring his foot, with Origin near.
Hope…"
"This team needs a ball playing 13.
Walker is there now. We need to sign more, or develop ones. Hands might be able to play there, he has in the past.
Hopgood and Guymer need to be in the middle.
I think Guymer is playing there for now to prepare…"
"Poor ol Sean the encouragement award player of the NRL... He does try in what is one of the most brutal elite sports in the world, he has reasonable defense but has no pass or any evasiveness in attack. If the line is not wide open he cant get over…"

Mandatory is only catagory 1
Catageory 2 the club can ask for an exemption from a neurologist - which Cantebury did - all aboveboard
Ok , thanks for the clarification. I withdraw my rant .
