Hopegood is only half the player he was last year, Williams defence is average probably the reason the sharks moved him on . Times tonight the ball should have been spread out the back instead of through the centre
I would argue that Moses needs to take the bull by the horns and kick on the 3rd or 4th tackle and get a 40/20. The best halves can play off the back foot. Joey was the best I've ever seen but Cleary is pretty damn good
I have never truly understood the idea of never kicking on the forth when camped in your own red zone. Kick on the 4th and better chance of pushing them back with only the Fullback collecting it.
You guys are missing the point, Cleary and Moses are both rightside players. Absolutely no point in playing them together when you have a ready made left side 5/8 in Luai.
Cleary will be first player chosen, Moses only gets a run if something happens to Cleary.
One of the obvious things last night was that Ryles overplayed Moses role to the extent we became so predictable, Farnsworth sat defensively on Moses when ever he went to the blindside he loves.
Finally having your kicker is one thing but at no stage did we get into a position to challenge the receiver, on the odd occasions we did, we did not contest the kick. It seems the players are under instructions to stand next to the receiver and hope he drops the ball??
People on here are raving about Ryles, personally I like him and the things he is trying to do.....what cannot be changed is he is making as many rookie errors as any of the players. Not the least being his selections. Matterson should have been playing last night and he would have provided a completely different drive from the "pigs". I thought Junior tried hard but he was a bit out of sorts, almost like him needing to be prodded to get moving (herding catte). Nothing wrong with Hopgood and Williams games, they are the workers in the pack and the people on here do not understand that.
Russell is honest as the day is long, just a second grader filling in and he stops progress by not creating anything.
This game was there for either team to win on the night, unfortunately it was a flick of the coin and we lost.
"Very dissapointing if true as Bailey was one of our best every time he has been on the field this season. Hopefully it's not too bad and he can get back and play some consitent footy as the side is better when he is playing. I would go as far as to…"
"Is it just me or does it seem as a team we tend to sustain more foot/ankle injuries than most teams at the moment? Not sure if it is just because of supporter bias or not, but is it some part of their training that is putting more strain and…"
"So Ryles why are things gonna be different next year? I mean 10 game rookies will be 25 game rookies, need experience either bite the bullet and bring in those dopes from reserve grade or go out and find some experience. Times ticking another season…"

The Sharks didn't even make him an offer .
What game were you watching? Both sides were kicking high and long.
I'd rather Mitch play for us, but he's going to be picked for NSW. 1 of only 3 halfbacks to win a decider in Brisbane for NSW.
Also not much he can do kicking wise when we're not getting over our 30 metre line. Only thing he can do is kick high and long.

Although his kicking was poor, forwards didn't help either, he plays and I think NSW will be just fine.
