Ever met a celebrity?

So i have done blogs about meeting NRL players of the past, now i want to know has anyone actually met a celeb, sport stars do not count. So i am talking personalities on TV, Radio, Movies and even politics. People associated with sports like journlists and commentators count.

I myself have never actually met a celeb other than sports personalities. But i want to know who people have met or come across, where there any gentle souls? Any flogs?

Only thing i can offer is stories from people i know; my old personal trainer mentioned he used to be secruity guard, he was hired as security for Tom Cruise when he was in Sydney filming Mission Impossible 2. He mentioned higher ups said to him and staff never look at Tom, never speak to him unless spoken to and bow when talked to. One day, he was doing his own thing and Tom asked him a question, something like what time was everything heading somewhere, he bowed and Tom said "Oh please, do not do that, no need to" Said he was actually quite a nice laid back guy. But also heard depends on when you got him, if he was irritated he was pure misery.

Anyway i would love to hear, something other than talking footy, form and BA leading to in fighting in the comments, this can be a nice discussion (hopefully).

        • Haha..Classic.

          • Very Clever you guys, why does it not surprise me you are being picked up on Saturday morning to see Brissy, he has had the "wood" on you for a long time.

  • I got to meet Mark Waugh, Brad Haddin, Stuart Clark and Stuart Macgill at a charity cricket match. Pretty sure that Macgill was pissed, but he was good value. Happy to talk to kids and sign autographs all day. Haddin was good too, the others were a little stand offish.

I know they are sports stars, but that's the best I can come up with.

    • That is fair enough, at least it ain't League personalities like the other blogs so that is different

I remember Mark Taylor being an absolute tool to a mate of mine when we were younger and he asked for an autograph

      • I've met Mark Taylor several times. He often frequents the Bayview Hotel in Gladesville.

        Absolute gentleman everytime.

        • Oh wow, see it is just matter of when you get them i guess.

  • I met Paul Keating when he managed a band call The Ramrods in the sixties.

I had chat with a distinguished gent in a motel car park in Canberra he was Bill Hayden the Governor General.

I met Brian Wilson at a met and greet.

I met Vic Patrick at my uncles funeral.

    • What was Brian Wilson like Slugg? I take it as he looks like a shy type of person. Absolute genious in music terms though.

      • Wilson was courteous but faintly aloof. I got the impression he rather have been somewhere else.

"Being reported storms did not even want him, they agreed to effectively pay out the 400k for him to be released. He would've been a free agent and still have been paid his contract. Why would he say no to that other than wanting to be difficult?"

We tried to offload Matto. We couldn't. There are 7 months left chewing say $350-400K of cap space.

The last of the BA Era.

It has to be discussed dosnt it. Now that Zac can't play NRL for the next 2 years, unless the Eels are compensated, I'd like to move on and discuss the elephant in the room.By all accounts the Eels have tried just about everything in the last 2…
