I attended the funeral of the great Alan Overton who was the godfather of the  eels club .

2024 - What we need!

While I have hope for a finals berth, I am also very pragmatic that the climb ahead is very steep and that we most likely will not make the 8. So I look towards 2024 and what we need to make our team more successful.

Laying in the ruck has become a tactic

• The nrl looks like they are doing another crackdown on high tackles when they should crack down on laying in the ruck. It's becoming a constant tactic to slow a team down, one player lays in the play the ball area and the hooker can't get to the ball

Worst Refereeing I've Seen for Awhile

The Refereeing today against the Dragons was disgraceful and borderline extremely bias. The Dragons were offside 80% of the game, continual high shots, holding down players, high shots that definitely deserved 10 in the bin or a send off with Lomax.

I thought the turning point today was Greig's short stint on the field. Without RCGs hard running we have been a bit lost and certainly for a big period of todays game I thought we struggled up the middle until Greig came on and really lifted us with
