Sanders signs with raiders on 2 year deal.

Noticed that the raiders are targeting junior nsw players with these deals, problem is by the time the contracts are up their value is going to be higher and they'll be taken away. 🤣 could easily see sanders back at parra by 26/27 lol.

  • Well he will be in Cup til 2027 the earliest as Fogarty signed til 2026.

    • Not sure but he is able to sign with another club as early as November 2025 lol. We'll see how it plays out but very short contract

  • Does he realise how f__ing cold it gets in Canberra? Dreadful place.

  • I don't get this move at all for Sanders. Unless they completely bin Fogarty next year.

    • Yep. When is the last time Raiders have developed a halfback. I can't remember. If he stayed at eels, he would be our back up halfback like he will be at Raiders for the next 2 years. I am no expert but I would rather be mentored at eels. TB menotred Luai and Cleary when they starting being a top side. Plus Sanders would learn so much from Moses. Moses was a horrible defender and a natural 6 growing up. He had to improve his defence, and learn all the quality traits of a halfback like kicking game, game mangagement, etc. So no better player to teach him compare to the Raiders.

      • He's an idiot.

        His loss.

      • It's probably just come down to the fact he was offered more coin to go to the raiders plain and  simple

  • And they got Tamale from dragons as well

  • It's one of the worst kept secrets that he were leaving. I don't think he has set the world on fire this year though, apparently he hasn't been up to standard in the NSW Cup by some reports and he didn't do much in the NRL when he were called up. All we can hope for is he turns out to be like a Dockar-Clay or a Troy Dargan (RIP) who showed a lot of promise in the lower grades, we got shot of them but thankfully it didn't bite us in the arse.
