...than a win?
Obviously I'm over the moon that we won that game, just like everyone else. We had no right to win after that first shocking hour of footy. To come away with the two points is nothing short of incredible.
However... I'm a little worried about the headspace of the team. We all know that sometimes Parra have issues with attitude, or as some less educated members would call it, 'Big Head Sydrome (sic)'.
They've played an hour of some of the worst footy I've ever seen, yet have won the game. Is this going to create an attitude of 'We can play like shit and still win games'?
If we had lost today, the team would have been very disappointed with themselves and would have received an absolute shellacking from Ando. It would have been a wake-up call, and they would have realised that to win games, you must start well and come into games with the right mentality.
Instead, they find themselves in the winners circle after a very poor perfomance. I must say, I have faith in Ando's ability to get the team in the right frame of mind and faith in the boys to enter games with the right attitude.
But would losing the game have been beneficial in the long term...?

If winning is a habit Parra are veritable junkies because when we get a roll on, it's hard to stop. More than the win, I think we needed that 109m try to prove to the boys that they are still able to produce the most exciting football in the comp. After scoring that try, the players believed they could win!
Be careful what you though say Dan, otherwise you'll start getting misquoted and your arguments simplified to comply with a certain someone (whose name shall not be mentioned).
Don't get me wrong though mate, the last quarter was magic and I'm stoked the boys were able to get themselves out of the predicament they created for themselves.
