I just don't like the way Ryles showed his hand saying he's very interested in Galvin when he becomes available. I also don't believe a word Grub Gould says. This is starting to stink.

Imagine that. This whole time, DCE to Roosters was done deal, even i believe it. He links up with Walker and all hunky dory. But then Dogs come in last minute and scoop him up.
Here is the thing with DCE why i think Dogs link could be legit. Firstly, they need a proper Halfback and DCE could be last piece to a title tilt. Secondly is Roosters reportedly only offered him a 1 year deal. Easts have Toby Rodwell coming through the grades and Sandon Smith is playing quite well at 6 too. Not saying Easts have gone cold on DCE, more so i feel they only want him for 2026 to push for title maybe 2027. Dogs i think will give him 2 years as thats the amount of time it will take Woods to be ready to be their full-time 7.
Galvin on other hand will more likely be their 7, they could move Burton to accommodate Galvin at 6 but that doesn't strengthen your squad. Having Burton and DCE strengthens your squad.
Well when you think about it, their spine is not on much. They have no 7 and Tracey is on ok money. Their backline has Crichton on big money but Montoya and Kiraz are on basic and Xerri was on cheap but will be upgraded.
Look at their bench not a lot of cash there
Other than Mahoney and Kikau their forwards are on big either. Curran, Mann, Preston, King, Tupouniua, Hayward all on not much to moderate salary.
They can afford one big signing. If anything DCE makes sense as their other players will get more expensive so have DCE before they do
Canterbury are paying people that aren't there anymore from their big cleanout . Then they'll have a big portion of current squad chasing upgrades. Not to mention old mate Burton's on a bomb. At least you can see where their money is , we've released millions of dollars worth of players and signed a couple of mostly Neville nobodies .
If the Dogs get Galvin there will be a plan around it so it makes the noise around him not fitting a joke or what would be the point of the interest.Yes DCE makes perfect sense for the Dogs but it's not a long term plan for them it's a short term move.Galvin for me has the ability to play 6,7 or 13 as the latter is where I see him down the track regardless.
Bottom line here is the Dogs are a more attractive place for him to go than the sentimental noise you hear around him coming to us.If he wants to go to a winning situation it's not close. He'll have to take less to do it but again you don't need the money now he's got a decade to make his coin.Galvins best move is to go to the best situation and that's not us.
Well they have Mitchell Woods. DCE is not long term but fits their premiership window before players like Preston, King, Xerri etc. demand big extensions and that is where Woods comes in for 2-3 years on a cheap deal.
As for why he wants to leave Wests, not sure anyone truly knows. I knew about him not rating Benji for a while. I know he wanted to be coached differently. I guess we will see once he is signed.
Did anyone catch Mitch on 100% footy when asked if Galvin was coming to parra? He would be a terrible poker player. If Galvin isnt coming to the eels id be surprised.
Probably why Chammas wasn't allowed to be in Prince Mitchell's presence. Maybe Mitch gets lost in his dreamy big brown eyes and can't lie to him. ......
Tigers to meet and discuss releasing Galvin a year early in 2026 but the team getting him will have to pay a transfer fee to get him. Eels is box seat to sign him once approval given.

Makes ya sick doesn't it? 😡
