So much for Matto returning. But good on Mataele. Why not bite the bullet and just use Samrani to start on the edge. Guymer dropped completely but is starting with Cartwright in Cup so Latu gets limited minutes.
Good move with guymer
He has been the biggest disappointment this year. When it was reported last year he wanted out i was worried we would lose him. Now i am neither here nor there. I am not sure what happened after the debut but man he has been average.
Even worse he is on the edge in NSW Cup when i think him and Keir should swap.

Dropping Latu is absurd. The bloke has the most potential out of all backrowers and has had 2 games so you reward it by dropping him to the bench? You start Carty who has no future at the club with Guymer (who is a middle) in the backrow over him? Ridiculous
JR needs to also decide wtf he is doing with Guymer. One week lock. One week bench. One week backrow. One week cup. Just stick the bloke in reserve grade and let him develop as a lock because thats where his future at. Does JR wonder why he is not playing like his debut game in the backrow? Its simple. He is struggling with the speed that wider players have. So defending in backrow so he has to be so passive just to keep up with others. Put him as a fucking middle.
FOR FUCK SAKE. Why is Latu relegated to the bench in cup. Put Guymer into the middle rotation where his future is and start Latu on the edge. Brain dead. Pure brain dead.
I never seen you this much frustrated, EA. But, I can completely understand your frustrations.
Playing players in different roles help them study the game and develop their footy IQ. Maybe they are looking at using on the bench in 1st grade as an impact forward so developing his understanding of that role. Look I don't know I'm not the coach, I'm just playing devils advocate rather than straight blast the coaching.
I agree but in a young players plate I keep his role as simple as possible don't give him too much just have him learn that spot and then with experience and maturity add more.The caveat here is not all are the same some will handle the multi tasking bit position wise more so than others.
But for me if they see Latu as a back rower just get him playing that as much as possible.Don't know what the plan is around this guy but a guy like Mataele has been on the periphery for awhile and he's taken his time to break into the FG squad maybe they see this as the way foward for there younger players instead of just throwing them to the sharks.

Guymer only really had one decent game under caretaker Barrett.
I think this will be the first time we see the Lomax/Moses combination. Will be interesting to see if Moses and Brown are smart enough to play to our strengths... the high kicks for Lomax and short grubber for JAC. Last week they just kept trying to go around the Dolphins where we kept stuffing up at either ends with slow Russell and Penisini the hog.
I won't hold my breath.
