Sandon Smith or Jack Cole

I think Sandon wont come to us as he be thinking he our 2rd choice but as they said on NRL360 Hes a good player and he will leave now if a NRL spot came up and its just down road so not far from home

And getting one back off panthers

        • I wonder who metcalfs manager is and if he's interested in returning to Australia. Guess we'll known soon if he re ups with them or not

  • Depends on the price and years. But either would be a smart move considering we are losing Brown and missed out on Galvin. But this is nrl, anything can happen. At the start of this year I never would have thought dylan walker would be at parra, let along be just about our best player.

  • Neither. Isaiah Katoa or in-house talent

  • None we already have better in our roster. Only if they are better.  Dearden or Brimson also covers all the backline.

  • Titans showing interest in Sandon Smith he came from Titans so who know we mite miss him to

    • Ihope he goes there and we get Brimson.

  • I am a fan of the Te Maire Martin signature on a 1-2 year deal. While I rate Lorenzo and Twiddle, I am not sure if they will be ready for the NRL in 2026. JR and the coaching staff will obviously have a better judgement if they are ready espcially after a pre-season.

My only problem of us signing a half is the affect it will have on others development. We already have a Volkman and Hawkins partnership in cup next year. Papalii will be the fullback in cup if he is not used as an utlity in the NRL side. So that means Twiddle and Lorenzo will struggle to get plenty of in NSW Cup with the others mentioned.

    • Yeah Te Marie Martin is the guy I'd go as well if you want a short term fix. He and Moses would do good. In cup 6 games and 15 try assists.
twiddle and Lorenzo would be ready by 2027 I reckon and maybe Fletcher as well. I'd be using the money to get some decent forwards

  • On SEN today, Jimmy Smith reported that Isaac Moses returned to Parramatta on Sunday and stated that Galvin has not signed with Canterbury. He added that if you increase the offer, you can still have him, but Ryles placed a cap on the amount offered, and Matthew Beach supported his coach, they did not make another offer.

Said that we would sign Sandon Smith on a 1 year deal because he wants to test the market with new clubs coming in and is unsure about Parra.
Even the Eels aren't convinced about him.

    • 1 year for Sandon Smith would be great. Allows the youngsters to really stake a claim during this year and 2026, and then by middle of 2026 if Sandom Smith is becoming integral for us or no junior is rising up we can through a good chunk of the cap at him.

"If Parra aren't convinced with Smith, they shouldn't sign him. You don't sign players you are not convinced about, shows desperation. If they are using Smith as a 1 year deal til Talataina is ready, I would rather them just blood Talataina."
