Watching last night, I don't believe Dylan is anywhere the level he was attaining.
Whether it is the ACL tear (definitely lost pace) but his body language showed to me in pre and post game interviews he doesn't want to go anywhere. I think he sees Parra is home and whilst no one can complain for him taking the 13m, I wonder if he will ever be happy in the Knights wilderness.
I have always been a DB fan, but I also think we burn't him out in the last 2 seasons and confused his role in the process.
I now see DB as a 600pa player and if he maintained his original potential say 800k. i.e my implication is he has lost 25% as a player.
WE have most probably won the jackpot as I think we have seen the best of him whereas I question his future now. I would be surprised if he retains his NZ Test status when you look at the Warriors and their young half.
Watching his current game he is missing tackles, whereas previously he hardly missed a thing. He has also lost confidence in the line, doesn't know or understand his role by the rules that made him recognised in the first place.
We are very lucky and whilst it has been said repeatedly, I cannot believe how dumb the Knights are as he will never be the play maker they have signed for. O'Sullivan has a lot to answer for!

This million dollar player discussion is based off supply and demand it's pure and simple it's never about what a fan thinks a players worth. How many players who get paid between 900-1.4 mill are actually worth that on the field and off of team results.I'd suggest very few.
I mean bad teams have to over pay there's no way around it how else are they going to entice top tier talent. There not listening to fans argh your worth this so you should be paid this wouldn't that be a hoot.
good read Pops. Dyla to me seems to still down in confidence from his ACL tear like still worried it may go again. I think he is really worried about going to Newie as they will never be any good while O'brien is the coach. You see against us they had no system that put any pressure on the defense. I think Dylbags is slowly getting better and also is better than people give him credit for as he put the bomb up for Moses to score and was partly responsible for our better attack. Hopefully we get a good 5/8 as it will be very painful if we don't as it is real easy to shut the attack down if it all goes through 1 player which will be Moses. Don't know about Galvin as not sold on him especally for top $.
His always going to have a soft spot for Parra and loves the club. In the end can't blame him for that money that got offered to him
I feel like he loves the comfort of our club more like it. He seems like a kid that's happy with the status quo, he didn't love the club enough to stay off the piss and not go out when we were hoping to have a finals charge. Dylan could've quite easily have dug deep and earnt similar money at Parramatta if he really wanted to. He didn't want to have to take the punt on himself to go to the next level. Took the easy option.
This is exactly what I reckon.
Parra won't automatically up my money without me playing well, so I'll get a few more bucks without performance scrutiny at the other place.
Fair comments Poppa, DB seems to have reached his ceiling. The club's negotiation of his contract - make a fair offer of $900-$1m and stand your ground was, with the benefit of hindsight, the correct approach. Pleased to see the club get DB's negotiation and the removal of player options right, player managers have for too long held too much power.
Funny thing how things work out.
Last game of the year Dyl got the partial tear if it had been a full ACL and out for 9 months id wager he taked up his option for security reasons.
Now hes gone for money/Security hopefully we land a Galvin or Sandon Smith and it works out for us
Everyone is saying Sandon Smith, he contracted til 2026 and unlike Galvin I am not sure Roosters let him go, particularly to Ryles who they had a falling out with, Politis is petty.
I have said that we can get player early out of deals, Smith is different with Politis thoughts on Ryles.
