JAC Extends

According to Rothfield, JAC was renewed by the club for 1 year by taking the club option. At least some good news today.

  • I'm surprised we didn't offer an extra year until 2027 as all this means is he can negotiate with other clubs Nov 1 and with the Bears coming in he could definitely be a target for them

    • By 2027 we could have 2-3 juniours coming through. Alemaddine would be ready by then for example and we can spend the cap on a star left centre. We can still renew him anyway.

  • Just need a centre now to pass him the ball. Poor old JAC was catching a cold out there the other night.

  • Fuck me this club pisses me off. Stuff up after stuff up and after every stuff up they try the old oh here's our new signing that we have been working on, when the truth is it's a club option or a player option or a junior yet to prove themselves.

    Time and time again.

Lose Mahoney - Club oh we signed Hodgson

Dont want Matterson - he takes up player option oh we want him now, then backflip oh we don't want him.

Miss out on Tapau - oh we signed offahenguae

Miss out on Brailey - Oh we resigned Hands for a year

Lose Dylan Brown - oh  we resigned 4 juniors.

Lose Talagi - oh we signed Papalii

Miss out on Galvin - Oh we resigned the fox

You can add Utokiamnanu, Isaiah Pappalii, Ethan Sanders, to this list

I saw this picture today, and I can't help wondering how does Mark O'Neil our head of Football keep his job.

    • Sad Story (sad) of our lives as an Eels fan😕.

Until MON is our R&R head, nothing ingenious will come out.

Hope Sarantinos or whoever is responsible for him should wake up.

    • If Mark O'Neill is the best we can do as GM of Football, we shouldn't be taken seriously as a club.

      Storm have Ponissi

      Dogs have Gould

We have MON and he's held the job since 2018. Send him to the Tigers again, they love mediocrity.

  • Get out MON!

  • JAC has add so much to this club already. Both on and off the field. Happy with this. If his form holds up. I would like to see him retire. Stay on as outside backs coach.

I know most of us are burning about missing out on Galvin. However (I know I'm just trying to cope with the loss) I was thinking about some of the young can't miss half prospects who fizzled out and it reminded me that there was no guarantee that he…

"Why would we swap brown for a player that doesn't make us better. The whole idea of a swap was if we were getting Galvin and hence didn't need brown, with Moses brown plays well and to have an impact this year we need Moses with brown in my opinion."

"Exactly right, panthers will be tough on Sunday with their players back but confidence is not where it has been in the past and they do struggle at commbank so a good time to get them, hopefully we get the job done. Then and if we do with confidence…"
