Galvin was no certainty to succeed

I know most of us are burning about missing out on Galvin.

However (I know I'm just trying to cope with the loss) I was thinking about some of the young can't miss half prospects who fizzled out and it reminded me that there was no guarantee that he was going to work for us.

some of the halves that came to mind that were highly touted and didn't live up to the hype

1. Ash Taylor

2. Brodie Croft

3. Tim Smith

4. Kieren Foran (once he came to us)

5. Chris Sandow

6. Kane Elgy

7. Lachlan Ilias

8. Daniel Mortimer

I'm sure there are more but I'm trying to look at the bright side and hope to death the kid doesn't become the next Joey Johns

  • Transition Joash to 6 or fast track Twiddle into 6, both are exceptional talents and will do a job next to Moses. Wrap it up.

Galvin might as well throw all of his birthday gift Para jerseys in the bin, fake as.

  • Way too many people sleeping on Lorenzo. Just look at his highlights reel this year. SG ball player of the year despite missing the start of the season. Yes Twiddle is an option but don't sleep on Lorenzo.

    • Looks the goods, hopefully gets some time in cup this year, prime him for first grade next year. 1. Iongi, 6. Talatiana, 7. Moses, 9. Smith, 14. Joash. An abundance of talent and speed, in Ryles we trust.

    • Massive fan of Lorenzo, I'd like to see him play against men but he has handled the step up to flegg thus far. What's your thoughts on Fletcher? I know he's prob 3 years away but he is another elite halves prospect.

      • Flecther is Moses long term replacment and given his built is probs 3 years away from the NRL as you say. I rate him but he needs to be patient and learn of Moses till he retired. But which young bloke is patient in the NRL these days.

Hope Lorenzo gets a chance in cup at the end of the year.

    • How do you compare lonrenzo to the likes of Blaize and sanders? His 18 or 19?

      • Looks a step up on both of those.

        Galvin is a cancer.

      • Lorenzo's 25 individual season is better than anything both Blaize and Ethan produced but I think if you compare their entire Jnr rep careers Ethan edges him out as a prospect with Blaize 3rd.

Blaize started out hot but injuries hampered the back end

Lorenzo started well in Matt's, had a ok 1st year of ball then went crazy this year

        Ethan was consistently good throughout

"Both are extended til 2027. Fletcher seems to be really impressing in pre-season, similar to what Smith did last year. Not saying he gets near FG but he could play Cup earlier than expected maybe."
