This is what I have been saying, on this site once a player has a target on his back its all on him.
Depth Wiz do you know what that is go have a look at the lack of depth Lane is playing with off of DB he doesn't adjust his depth and it was proven later on when another pass hit him in the chest when we had a 2 man overlap.
That pass that DB hit Lane with before halftime is just another example of it.If your a ball runner off a playmaker you need to continue to adjust your depth off your ball player that's a given especially if the defense is coming hard Lane doesn't do that.
Yeh! Lane is reminding me of a dinosaur, by the time the brain tells the body what to do, the bird has flown.....sometimes you question wether Lane is watching the ball or the man. He is very much gun shy and he should look to medically retire. You can tell when a player is hesitant for his own safety, ASI plays that way and I question the commitment of Tuilagi (edge) both with and without the ball, another recruitment mistake which means that our 2 recruitments from Manly have been disasters.
In attack Lane has to hold more depth off of DB all our yardage runners do especially how hard defensive lines get off the line or jam.
Sanders as a ball player to has to recognise this to.They want to speed up the young fullas game clock so they come hard at him and the players around him.

Back to Lane passes regardless he's a big target and him adjusting his depth he has to take these passes or he's useless to us.Maybe playing outside Brown in 2 weeks helps facilitate this.
If you watch DB at 1st reciever in Talagi try the mentioned holds width and depth off DB he gets to the outside shoulder of his man getting Mam moving sideways DBgives the pass Talagi steps hard and leaves Mam stranded this is a way to play off of DB.
Lane definitely needs to hold more depth on those blind side plays. But so do our centre and winger they are basically standing in a line. What the fuck goes on in our training sessions?

That's not what I saw. Sivo was so deep on one play that Sanders' pass went over the sideline. He was too deep in the line, not standing in a flat line at all.
I'm talking specifically about the blindside play where brown wraps around the ruck to try and create an overlap. That play where Sivo didn't get the pass was a different type of play. And it wasn't Sivo being too deep the pass was poor it needed to be floated more.
I agree, noticed last night we had depth and bodies when attacking to the right and looked better.
Sending your big boys at the posts and then QUICK swing wide with depth and bodies in motion gives your ball players options, hard to defend against.
