It is quiet interesting. So the club knew they were gonna sack BA because they wanted Bennet. But Bennet rejected. But eels still sack Bennet. Options are:
Does Slater even want to coach? Would he come to Parra? He would certainly shake things up.
Might want to edit mate. Still sack Arthur.
Convincing Billy Slater to coach a club like Parra would be a master stroke.

Until Bennett announces where he's going, there's always a chance. He's always done it his own way and any leaks have scuttled previous appointments. Wait and see

The club hasn't confirmed Bennett won't be coming, they stated he has rejected them.
It's not over until he actually signs.
I believe today's actions are a last ditch effort to get Bennett, he is more likely to have more serious talks now that BA has been sacked. Bennett is known for not talking to clubs that still have a coach under contract.
