Pou has linked the right video. Go to 4min 30sec for Keaon talk.
Oh ok sweet.
Things that don't exist are usually quiet
Seems to be a few clubs interested in Kolomatangi.
Weve obviously got the cash for this move now all that has to happen is we close this deal. The long and more drawn out it becomes the less chance we have.If I'm honest I don't think he wants to leave Souths. But it's going to take an over pay in salary and years to swing this deal as South's rate the player they just aren't all in like we'll have to be to land him.
That's the thing Coryn. Is it possible to pay too much for Koloamatangi? I think it is. Every club has some wiggle room on how much they can afford to overpay. Hopefully Moses hasn't taken up all of ours.
💯 we don't want to be over paying a guy that in all essence is only on the field 50-60 minutes tops. You only spend that on guys who can swing results.Me personally he's a 650-700 k player you throw in the TPA and that gets him to the number he wants but for me like what we are paying Jnr it's too much.
Keaon can play 80 in the middle, he did for Souths. Now look at Terrell May and you see you cannot do that every week. But i also agree that $900k plus for a middle is too much, exception to Haas and Tino as they are once in a lifetime talents. But also on the other end, when the new TV deal is completed $900k should be the new $700k. So could be a bargain.
I am not too concerned with the salary, more so the years as that seems to be our main selling point to Koloamatangi, if true. 4 years is a long time to commit to a 29 year old middle in 2027.
That's why South's haven't rushed into giving him what he wants.
Hes a good player don't get me wrong but not for that new TV deal or not.
900 plus you better be a special talent or effect results. He won't be playing 80 minutes here we all know that so imo the automatically tells me I'm not paying that and very few are.
Only thing driving these prices is the position we are in and supply and demand.
Souths also have a tighter cap too with money in Latrell, Wighton, Walker, Arrow, Murray and the likes. Plus Gray re-signed, Duncan to be signed etc.
Apparently they have matched his money demands but the years are the deal breaker.
I disagree that minutes are necessarily a factor in a player's value. Middle forwards often contribute more in 40 minutes than many outside backs.
