Housing Crisis

What are people's thoughts on the cost of housing presently? Is there a crisis? I was watching a 4 corners programme the other night and a young couple had just purchased there first home in Mascot for $1,700,000 and had a mortgage of $1,400,000. Their parents had to go guarantor on the loan. There must be a few Sydney residents on this forum with kids looking to buy their first home. Is this the norm? Would you guys do the same?

        • I watch ABC kids {with my grandchild every day} and see what a wonderful job  ABC is doing with integrating all ethnic groups in their presentation and involvement of young kids. Most of this generation will be colour blind.

          • Yep tad, they give zero shits about where you're from or who you fuck

        • I lived in a North Kellyville, I sold to developers, Italian actually, the homes built around there had a stack of Aussie tradies, actually the only Indians  I saw were couriers, meal delivery and some truck drivers. I know Indians love transport, but plenty of Aussies still driving for Coles etc.

I’m definitely not sulking over the housing crisis, like Wiz said here, I love it, from my selfish POV, I have made stacks from it. Like others have said, get in young and go as hard as you can, don’t whine about others making it too hard

          • MB i always admire the care and thoughtfulness you show your kids when talking about them, i can tell how much you love and care about them, can tell are a huge part of their lives.

They are all very lucky and blessed to have such a good man as a dad.

How are you bro? hows the health.

            • Good thanks Snake, glad you appreciate me, I am well.

            • Snake, such kind words. Thank you.

I may joke with mates about the 3 bitches that control my life, but really I wouldn't be half the person I am without my Mrs and daughters, they have taught me and I have tried my best to provide a safe, comfortable and loving home, sort of the opposite to what I grew up in.
My health is holding steady so the operation is currently on hold, trying to get to winter next year, no one wants to be laid up in summer.
Again, thank you bro for checking in.

              • MB you are a legend dude snake is right

love legend dads and husbands 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️

                • ☺️

                • Im always right Carls.

                  • Now you're just getting damn silly 🙄
