What now?

With it looking very likely that Lachlan Galvin will not be joining us who will be our 6 next year?

Here some options

-Bailey Hayward looked good replacing Burton and pathway blocked to start in the halves.

- Ronald Volkman

- Lorenzo Tailatana

-Lachlan Cokknias

- Jonah Pezent

      • But Galvin was let go thats the difference. Hayward wants to stay and Dogs want to keep him.

  • Why cant we go after Dogs young woods i think thats he name any one but  Volkman

  • I think Volkman is the obvious replacement. Hes one of the form 6's in cup coming off an 18month layoff. I think with a full season and another preseason under his belt he would do a job. I just worry about his defence but you have a year to tidy it up.

  • I do think Joash would make it in any first grade squad. He has the talent to be anything. He is too good for cup and can defend. Isn't scared to put his body on the line and has a great short passing game. I think given the opportunity he will give it his all. Also playing a couple games at 6 in cup shows the coaches believe there is potential.

    • Ditto.

He has played a bit of 6, speed to burn and should be groomed sharing duties at Cup with RV.

  • Don't care what anyone says, we are in a real pickle for 2026.

    • Yeah I guess and it could be the real reason we weren't too fussed to lose Drown as we had a replacement locked in and ready way back in April.

      • Again, what makes you think we weren't too fussed? If we weren't too fussed we don't go into negotiations with Brown. He got offered $400k more than his current deal and about the same as to what we were willing to pay. If we paid that people here would lose their minds.

We came to the conclusion of he got a deal that was too good to pass up and nobody else should offer, so be it what can you do if someone is wlling to overpay him? It wasn't we had Galvin coming as to letting Brown go, losing Brown led us to go to market.

        • Again, that's my opinion and how it looked to me.

I don't think you have anymore ideas than I do and just stating your opinion - which of course you are entitled to.

        • We didn't go into negotiations with Brown . We tried to get him to remove his clause as it was dumb and a club crippler. He wanted more cash and we said no way.

The whole thing was about the club indicating he was not worth the deal he was on. If he was we'd have been content with him having said clause OR , they would've offered him more money to remove it.

The club obviously felt the deal wasn't of value to them as it were .

"Why would we swap brown for a player that doesn't make us better. The whole idea of a swap was if we were getting Galvin and hence didn't need brown, with Moses brown plays well and to have an impact this year we need Moses with brown in my opinion."
