So unless I'm mistaken it's only been about two weeks since the board made a big song and dance about appointing Chris Anderson and Ray Price, which one would have thought was a statement that Kearney would at least see out the year.
Since then we've lost two games we would have expected to lose anyway - hardly shocking results that would have resulted in a backflip of that proportion?
I thought the Anderson appointment was madness on any number of levels, but seriously, you look at it now in this context and I'd love to know what was the thinking and how there could have been such an epic change in heart.
I assume we now pay Anderson out the rest of the year or is he working with the interim coach or what?
I just don't get it. Or am I stumbling around looking for some logic where there is none!
P.S. In tonight's feel-good report, I can however confirm that Ray Price has indeed been out to one of the development squad training sessions. You can all sleep soundly tonight, now.

Its believed the players gave up on SK after the manly game and told certain board members.
I hope the next coach gets rid of the players he does not want from the start like Ivan Cleary has done
Phil ,without a doubt is was part of the clean out game.
they let sk have who he wanted so they could come out n say we gave him what he wanted, they knew they were going to boot him, it was just part of their game....
they have been playing games all year, how about the old ''we will give sk 4 games'' crap.....
this board has tried everything to pass the buck, how bout today when they said that they spoke to the players n they didnt support sk.
how bout when they said that they were getting a company in to do a review of the coach, mate the writing was on the wall then....
how bout when they put the players up as a human shield at the AGM
mate they are a spineless weak bunch, and dont expect this shit to stop phil, its a joke n easy to see through, cheers
:-(
Actually, I've just developed a theory. I reckon the Hayne/Keating/Kelly injuries is what happened.
We're so screwed on the injury front now, that's you'd have to be eternally optimistic (yes, even more optimistic than I) to think that we can finish the season on a positive note. I think maybe what kicked in, is that there was the realisation that we became long odds on for the wooden spoon, and that wasn't going to look good come election time.
I will give the chairman his due, he's an excellent politician.
Phil, have a read of wizards blog on the directors, the leaks are all there in that article 100%
It could be all to do with Luke Lewis.Maybe he wouldn't sign with Parra with SK as coach and this might have been the final straw, as there have been so many players linked to the Eels but not much joy on the signing front.
I wouldn't be shocked if Parra end up with Luke next year.
Possible but if signing a back-rower in his twilight years is what has driven this decision, then we are royally screwed.
It's understood Lewis was against joining the Eels while Kearney and new coaching director Chris Anderson were in charge.
Lewis hasn't forgotten being snubbed by then Australian coach Anderson on the 2003 Kangaroo tour. Anderson opted to play Super League player Darren Smith.
Parramatta have offered Lewis a three year deal worth $2.1 million.
