Well done Jason Ryles.

We are getting better in a short amount of time, with a big roster turnover, a team full of youngsters and a massive amount of salary cap space available in 2026. Personally, I couldn't ask for more in his first season.

*Side note, the game now due to the rule changes and officiating is so hard to follow and want to watch. It's now beyond a joke. I don't watch any other games these days except for the eels. The Simmonson penalty says it all and the reason why.

Have a good weekend ✌️

  • I'm coming around to what JR is trying to do I can see what he wants from this team.

JR mentioned this in the presser basically what I've been saying during the preseason the onething that can mitigate performance of this team is the individual errors. If the team can get on top of these then we can win games.

Last night against a rated team like the Sharks we were right in the fight which is what you want to see but what really hurt were the errors and where we make them. These are really easy fixes if you ask me.We can't change the roster but we can fix the errors and where we make them that's an easy fix and individuals need to make that commitment not to make them.

  • Great to see the positivity about the Eels’ direction! You’re spot on about the team’s improvement despite the roster changes and young squad. The potential with that 2026 cap space is exciting—plenty of room to build something special under Ryles. The fight they showed against the Sharks, especially that late push with Brown and Addo-Carr, proves they’re heading the right way.

*Side note: I hear you on the rule changes and officiating. The Simonsson call was a head-scratcher—felt like it swung momentum unfairly. The game’s getting tougher to follow with these inconsistent bunker decisions. Hopefully, the NRL takes a hard look at simplifying things to bring back the flow we all love.

    • The Refs seem to want to manage the momentum in the game as per their feeling, and the can do it easily.
