Well done Jason Ryles.

We are getting better in a short amount of time, with a big roster turnover, a team full of youngsters and a massive amount of salary cap space available in 2026. Personally, I couldn't ask for more in his first season.

*Side note, the game now due to the rule changes and officiating is so hard to follow and want to watch. It's now beyond a joke. I don't watch any other games these days except for the eels. The Simmonson penalty says it all and the reason why.

Have a good weekend ✌️

    • Mediocrity is a word that comes up a lot on this forum. What is the formula from ones own personal achievements and success. Please share your own experience when anyone uses these types of criticisms. The ladder in reaching ones potential is not an easy journey

      • Sometimes the ladder doesn't go to the top...and sometimes the top isn't the place you need to go, or even the place you want to be.

Ego can drive folks to places that can seem desireable until you go there....and have to pay the piper.(cash not accepted)

    • Well compared to what we dished up the first month I'd take this. I understand what you mean and yes never accept anything less than a premiership it's a great way of doing it. But in this stage of our club with squad and coaching we have to do small steps. The way we can judge Ryles is seeing either improvement, stalling or declining. At this stage improvement is there and that is moving towards being a better team.

Penrith in 2019 were dreadful then finish strong, but that's with Cleary debuting the likes of To'o, Crichton, Martin, Kenny, giving more minutes to Luai, Edwards, Leota who were inexperienced.

    • E̶x̶c̶e̶p̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ Accepting mediocrity....this comment is mediocre Trent.

Most of us are mediocre, at most things, most of the time. Mediocrity is kind of just saying average...like not great, but ok.  Average is not really ok in sport, but it is a fuck-tonne better than below average(we are here), which is shit.

You don't go from shit to exeptional...you must pass through mediocre on the way.

At this point I aspire to a repeatable mediocrity, then we will get to see the ceiling on some of our freshies.(how much potential they have beyond average) and we find out if we are a learning unit or a copying unit

      • Well said Randy. We are all pretty well average.and thats where we usually stay. Some develop a hunger for self esteem? maybe an ego. We all have to have ego to progress. If you can balance ego with humility you get genuine respect

  • I think Jason Ryles has shown that he is having a positive affect on side and that is all we can ask for at this stage .

  • Agree 👍

  • I'm interested to see what Ryles does with the precedent set last night where kaufusi ran  grid iron style as a blocker for McInnes to score a try.

cant wait to see some plays around that new established rule.

    Assolute joke.

    • If three blokes run into the same hole it would be impossible to defend. New set play for every team.
