Eddie Jones and the Wallbies are putting their sights on Bailey Simonsson. Simonsson is still contracted to Parramatta for 2024, though has been offered a new contract apparently, which at this stage has been left unanswered. Now i am not sure how to feel on Simonsson at the moment. He had a decent 2023 after quite a shocking 2022, Mid way through 2023 he hit a purple patch of form. Though fell a little later in the year. Now you could blame Asi and Davey for that as he was left on an island a lot of the time, though not sure he is the Centre we need, but also every game he has played on the wing for us he has been dreadful.
So hopefully we sign a Centre and a winger that can compete with Simonsson, then if he leaves it is all good as we have the new guy.

Our club can kinda do that too ya though. The worse we go the chirpier BEM gets . It's a bit like those videos you see of blokes being kicked in the balls and enjoying it.

He played for Kings college too i believe Bailey, apparently can represent both Wallabies and All Blacks.
I mean Bailey isn't a great player but he did a solid job for us at centre this year. If we lose him, who do we replace him with?
I've been saying this for a while but we need athletic and big bodied wingers like Coates/Warbrick etc..
I miss Ferguson, he was blamed mostly for the poor combo between him and Blake but he played so much better with Penisini inside him..

With RTS joining warriors next year you might be able to get Kosi. He'd go alright on the wing.
The NRL really needs to seize the moment in NZ. The Warriors are humming, the AB's look mortal and far from a lock to even make the WC Semis, there are hundreds of NPC players who can't get a SR gig who would be prime to be plucked. That doesn't even take into account kids who could be plucked at underage carnivals like DB was.
You would know better than most Coryn, but it's my understanding that the NRL rates higher than SR & definitely the NPC over there, and not just in Auckland.
