That game is up there with one of the worst Origin's I've seen. Interesting that both Lockyer and Johns said that it felt more like a high-end NRL game, rather than an Origin game. Probably the fact that Klein blew 15 penalties contributed to that. Normally, the good Origin's to watch is when the referee isn't blowing the pea out of the whistle.
Yep, Klein was atrocious. Adam Gee is one of the best refs and reffed the fastest Grand Final in recent memory with Penrith v Brisbane. But we all know there is a clique, yet the NRL are oblivious to notice or do notice and don't want to do anything about it. The quicker Annersley goes the better.
do you think with the season still being quite open as to who can make the top eight, some of the players were playing more on the conservative side knowing they have to back up this weekend to keep their team's top 8 chances alive?
Seraph, if you look at the team lists, this is the first time in a while where every Origin player was named to back-up. I think 90% of them play due to how close the teams all are. I think Cleary, seeing us v Manly, will play Cleary, Martin, Edwards, To'o and Yeo to get a win. He knows if he rest most of them we will beat them. Thing is Sunday is the hardest to back-up from Origin. Your body is in the middle of recovery and you are sore. All Penrith boys will be sore, Lomax and Moses will be but not as much as the forwards.
Though it will be interesting to see if my prediction is right as it will show how desperate some teams are. Brisbane play Manly at Brooky. Both teams desperate for a win, Madge more so. Will he rest Haas with is Quad? Or play him as he needs him?
I reckon Madge will play him, but maybe limit his minutes.
You're right, I think the Riff boys might be more impacted by Origin just by nature of their positions. To'o and Lomax, and Cleary & Mitch cancel each other out. Then you've got Edwards, Martin and Yeo which make a huge difference to their side. Fingers crossed we get the win
The price possession Cleary will never be dropped,he was the controller but Moses was used a bit more in the second half Lomax played exceptionall football, will be a great game on Sunday avo
"If you watch the Buzz and Webster podcast, they are both over his BS. He'll run out of journo's to talk to the rate he is going. I agree that this has damaged him in terms of credibility. He's like my ex now, if she told me it was raining, I'd still…"
"WEll now, I did mean what I said, but maybe it was jumbled.
I do not see MON as someone limiting us improving from where we are now to say being a top 6 club. Can he keep the grades connected long term for sustained success? He's done OK with that…"
"In think it is El Rocko Tad....I have looked through Melb where its been racing and Sydney where its a heavy track and I could not see his name.
Just a bit of advice, I would not back him if he is on a good track, he needs a soft 6 or worse to bring…"
"Move the fk on lol.
For a start Galvin isn't worth 800k. He isn't quick, has a rocks and diamonds kicking game and is too tall to.play 6.
Plus once he fills in, he'll.be a lock back row. I think the game has quickened so much that his style won't…"

I agree with you 100% HKF. Moses has proven that he's the better player at Origin level.
Spot on, Cleary dictates how things go. I am surprised Daley took goal kicking off him.

Possibly. It definitely lacked the intensity and speed of Origins or recent past.

Good point on Lomax, he takes Origin wins and performances and takes it to NRL for top performances. He is a big game player.
