  1. Z Hunter
  2. B Newlands
  3. R Penisni
  4. A Nanva
  5. J Tago
  6. M Hunter
  7. D Hawkins
  8. Kalache
  9. B Hands
  10. T Mataele

  17. I Mapu-Satiu

As you can see by the names on the list we have many injuries which has resulted many RM players in this team.

  • At fullback there is no Twiddle, Papaii or Martyn so Z Hunter is there as the 4th choice.
  • There is no AMS, Russel (in NRL for Lomax)  or Dunster (not sure what happened to Dunster again!!!) so Newlands played.
  • There is no Volkman so M Hunter is the 5/8. Chosen over Lynn.
  • In the forwards there is no Grieg, (suspended), Pryke (concussion), Lane (leave),Tuilagi (suspended), Doorey (in NRL for Tuivita), Keir, Lussick, T Brown (all injured)

So as you can see the list of unavailable players is massive. 15 Players !!!

    • And Kalache drops the ball off the second tackle. Dogs score. Carty in no man land in defence. Matto tries to make the tackle but all the people around him fail to support him

      • Eels go down 28-41. Would be 36-43 if all conversions were made.

Just simply too many RM in the team due to 15 players unavailable.

  • Any decent players EA.  What happened to the defence.

    • RM players were not strong defensively so many gaps. Latu, and Matto were probably best on ground

      • Did Latu do enough to read his name out on team list Tuesday?

        • Well Tuilagi is back this week from suspension and I believe JR likes him next to Moses. Kautoga had a decent game. Plus Samrani is doing well in the backrow. So I do not think Latu will make TLT. He is only 2 games back from injury so no rush.

          • I'd leave Latu till 26 just let him get Cup games under his belt.

Theres no rush like you say just keep rotating what's there and give him a go next year with another full off season under his belt.

            • I mean why not give him a game or two heading into 2026. Getting FG games helps immensely with development.

              • 100%. Always good to give young talent a taste. It gives them a feel for the speed and what's required in 1st grade. The old saying goes if you're good enough you're old enough.

                • AE, that's right. This season mostly we can give certain goes a few games off the bench to get that feel. Look at Iongi, his body i belive is not where it should be to be strong in NRL, look at him in 2026 his body will be bigger as he understands that is what is needed for FG to be long term.

Moses was that, granted took longer but look at him in 2017 where he was a twig to now where he is quite bulky.

"cheers for that, I'm hoping that Will improves. I see too many easy paths taken on the field by him that needs improvement.
I'm assuming the coaching staff see that, and have a development plan for him."
