DCE has informed Manly that this year will be his final season with them, and if he does play on he has told the club it won’t be with Manly.
Now Parramatta would want to give Moses the best opportunity in winning a premiership. This could be not such a insane idea.
Personally, The Eels need to concentrate on building its pack back up and its an absolute long shot to sign Dce anyway.
Do the Eels even entertain this idea?
There's absolutely no doubt DCE could play another year or two - none

I believe its a idea worth exploring
It is, but at the same time for what cost. DCE is leaving Manly for one or two things. Firstly is money, Brent Read mentions the bloke has numerous investments arounf Manly he don't need money. For some who are rich, there can never be enough money. Secondly location. His family, including his older daughters, are all entrenched in Manly. Does he want to uproute now to Queensland? But he also has family in QLD and said he would go back at least post paying.
Do we want to put forward around $1.2 mil for DCE? He is worth it and he could be a magnet for other forwards. For two years too is not that much of a committment like say Brown where it is such a long time on your cap. Where is for us come 2028 we have that money free and someone like a Lincoln Fletcher or Lorenzo Talataina are ready for full-time FG. At the same time i do not think 5/8 is a big necessity as forwards are.
It's a weird one but i do not see us persuing it. DCE might also not want to have a player like Moses fighting for ball. Both are dominant halves, wont want another Norman v Moses thing.
Scott Penn Manly CEO has come out in the press and has believed to offer 1.5m per year for two years.
DCE is adamant he will not play for Manly again after this year. Dolphin's would be logical, they would cover all his moving expenses etc and it will not be included in the cap. There is some lovely properties on the Redcliffe Penisula and he would also get a very good rent deal. $4m plus properties are common and they would rent market wise at about 3k per week, That rental subsidy alone would be worth a couple of hundred grand a year. Structured correctly with an option to buy could be neatly packaged into a retirement deal of say $2m again outside the cap.
Dolphins pay $1m per year on cap and he walks away after 2 years with a $5m property and a homecoming!
Win win as Dolphins are desperate for someone as a playmaker and money is no object. Deals leading into retirement can be very friendly on cap management.
Sounds good to me, do you think we could come up with a similar deal at "Little Coogee"???
$1.5 million per year for two years? I find that very hard to believe.
It's 1.5 total for 2yrs. He wants a million minimum.
DCE will go to Redcliffe most likely in my opinion.
Maybe the Dragons or potentially Titans.
Roosters could be a chance.
JB, been a while since you have posted. Hope all is well, great to see you posting again.
Roosters for sure IMO.
Similar to the deal they had with Cronk - win them a premiership and with him there id give them a chance.
for another club DCE is an investment, he will be a good tutor to the young halves. Will also lead into coaching, he will be a good coach future. For him today to announce leaving and say wants to play on, there is a deal on the table with someone already
DCE apparently announced on 100% Footy just now that he's leaving Manly at end of year but wants to play on with another Club.
