Inside word I've been hearing is that Parra were in the running for Keaon Kalamatangi, that changed Friday when the Roosters jumped in with their '300k (per year for 3yrs) third party property portfolio'.

Back to the drawing board Mark O'Neill. Again!!!!

    • The vast majority of third party deals are exactly the same as the ones the eels got done cheating for. Former salary cap auditor Ian Schubert informed the club about this when we got done cheating, he encouraged the club to take the NRL to court over it.

Under the rules they are pretty much all illegal but the NRL won't investigate them thoroughly unless there is a whistle-blower.  The eels already got done cheating this way once, we can't afford to get caught doing it again.

  • Roosters have institutional wealth backing them (Uncle Nick,Packers,Bouris et al) ....we will never compete with that....cause we cant attract that ....we best to stick with dodgy Leb Construction companies or tainted corporate giants that have a history of giving employees cancer ...thats more in our remit....

  • I know this has nothing to do with this news but does anyone know if Lomax will return for pre-season?

  • We are not and are never going to compete with the top end of town teams we haven't for a long time so might as well get used to it we have to be a development club we have no choice so hopefully we can start to keep them and identify talent way better than we have in the past few years

  • Seriously how can't we get any TPAS?

  • Bernie Gurr mmentioned back in 2017-2018 that the club had done some serious reputational damage in those torrid times. Now I'm guessing here but if the reputational damage still hasn't been fixed over that time then the field we are playing on vs the rest isn't an even one.

    • Reputational damage can take years, maybe decades, to resolve. People on here still have an issue with James Hardie as a sponsor, even though their issues were, what, 30+ years ago now? That's how l;ong it can take for reputational damage to be fixed.

      • Yup. People remembering things can be a real pain in the ass

"I suppose it can be a win/win for areas of natuarl bushland and maintaining existing functions. But you also get issues such as Parramatta Gaol. That is literally going to stand idle until it falls down. Can't work out why that title was ever…"

Speech replied to Cumberland Eel's discussion Victoria's Wurundjeri people file native title claim for Melbourne - Is this OK or Not?
"Hi Bup,
Native Title land is not freehold. There is no right to buy and sell. It means Aboriginal people can use the land for traditional purposes e.g. throwing boomerangs etc. They also have input to how it is maintained etc. If you get the chance…"
