What a disgusting, unprofessional display by the on field ref and the bunker - Ryles did handle the presser well imo, he is a wise cat! It's too in his career to go full retardation aka pricky- anyway Jason will be Long term coach and he is building something special. BA who?? Bhahaha
Cronulla got back to back penalties in the lead up to their first try. One for a Kautoga tackle deemed high that was below the shoulders. Then after defending that set Addo Carr was pulled up for not playing the ball with his foot. In the next set (where Cronulla received multiple 6 agains) there was at least 6 instances where they made no attempt to put the foot on the ball-Fonua Blake did it twice.
That referring performance was absolutely cheating, he picked & chose to give penalties for infringements that he already let go at least half a dozen times but chosed to give them to break our momentum and on the other hand again chosed to give them to advance there's. He was right in front of kafusi behind the try line when he blocked kautoga from making a tackle on the ball runner but totally ignored it and pointed down for the try without even thinking of sending up to the bunker to check it out, which would've been of no avail, given the performance the bunker put on last night which was on show for everyone to see. Magic round is for player's and fans not for reffs to put on shameful displays
What i find horrid and disgusting about nrl officiating is that you can pull up and give a penalty for anything and the ref will blow it at his descretion.
There is always people downtown from almost every 5th tackle kick for every team, yet the ref decided to pull us up numerous occasions for it yesterday.
The roll ball penalty is a farce, it happens 2-3 times a set and the ref will blow one at random.
Obstructions are 50/50 dont know what your going to get anymore. theyll pull you up one week for the exact same obstruction they let go.
These refs get 300k a year to be this incompetent, its like they find someone dumber every week to be video ref.
Whats more bizare is no one is held accountable for there fuck ups, if i fucked up at work im held accountable i might lose my bonus my get sacked e.t.c these refs have no consequences for there mistakes.
The last paragraph is absolutely true. They are probably unaccountable due to them being the only ones available. Not sure why they get so much if that's the case. Maybe there'd be even less of the dopes.
Agree on roll the ball... absolutely zero reason for that to ever be an issue in the game... but in normal NRL standard and as defended by the likes of that dipshit Abdo and Anusly, it's all fine and they're doing a bang up job.
It is one of those rules that can absolutely be 100% black & white... but becuase the NRL just seem to exist in shades of grey, we have the week in week out fark ups and constant inconsistency. Ball should be played back with the foot touching it... or not. Just friggin' pick one!!! If they make it must roll it back via contact with boot / studs... it will be a penalty fest for 1 round then they will all quickly get into the habit of it (and because coaches will blast them) and a traditional roll back with foot will become the norm.
It's either that... or just let them roll it back any old way and step over it.
It's a very easy fix but Abdo... V'Landys etc are just too busy back patting themselves day in day out as to how awesome they all are. Biggest circle-jerk society I've ever seen.
Abdo is a fraud, I cannot stand the bloke, media love him as a stand up guy, I reckon he is arrogant. He comes down hard on teams that don't bite back but bows to teams that do.
V'landys I liked coming in but his ideas are going too far. 20 teams is too much, PNG is a dumb idea.

Love to see a video of Stonestreet first try put down on side view, iro put down and mcinnes obstruction calls explained by NRL/Annesley. Seems bunker too quick to award tries without proper review
It was knockon 💯 - bunker only show 1 angle and that's was it! Seems a bit sus??
