I just don't like the way Ryles showed his hand saying he's very interested in Galvin when he becomes available. I also don't believe a word Grub Gould says. This is starting to stink.

If we land Galvin we've stubbed our toe on a gold nugget, we've been kissed on the arse by a rainbow, we've been blessed by a leprechaun. Because it will have absolutely zero to do with good management and everything to do with pure luck. We let our local product, Talagi walk because we had our 5/8 locked up long term.....except we didn't. It's the detailed planning I admire most.
Hold on Mutts. Sorry but when Talagi go you were about saying he is not that good particularly at 6. Then were on the bus saying you believe we would be able to get Galvin and he will come back.
Now you have done complete 360 on both areas in such a short time.
Talagi is still a work in progress. I thought he'd spend more time in Reggies. He may still but I never said he was awful, just needed time. I was also under the impression we had our 6 locked up long term so no big deal if he left. I reckon we will get Galvin. But I just don't want to hear how it was all part of some master plan.
The talk is Iongi from day 1 was the target Ryles wanted. Makes me think if that's a lie and Iongi was the Talagi replacement or if Talagi was going to be used elsewhere.
But there was reasons for him going, particularly to play 6 which we couldn't offer as we hoped Brown would stay. Our fault he left but that's what it was his path was blocked, so he thought.
Yeah RCG player of the year, by default. No Moses for the year, no Hopgood for half the year, no Paulo for half the year, no Sivo for half the year. Gutho played hurt.
People use this whole "RCG was their player of the year" thing to have a go at the club, add more salt to the wound when the options were bare as it was for player of the year. Both players nearly led us to a spoon yet everyone is saying they are why we are so bad?
Some people have this fascination of using things to have a go at the club, whether it is to validate the reasons they are bad is we let these players go or to validate how bad the front office is they made this decision etc.
Im seeing the same with Talagi. He signs with Penrith and many here "Lol he's not that good anyway" "He's can't tackle he won't last at Penrith" to now it's "Typical Parra letting him go" If the club asked us do we keep him or not you would say nah then blame the club for letting him go once he works out. Now I believe Iongi would have been a better Fullback option than Talagi anyway so sort of worked out. Yes Talagi could have played 6 but we would still need a Fullback.
Its same with flipping on players. Volkman was the messiah after the first trial "Just drop Brown now" people said "Let Brown leave, we have is replacement" Plays 2 games , 7 in his career and not good games "Volkman is useless" "Why would we re-sign him" the kid has played 7 NRL games, including without Moses in a very young team? Obviously you rated him too highly at first to cover your bias towards Brown being bad.
Just some fans irk me like that. Oh this players is amazing, they leave oh not that good anyway. Yeah the club should let them go they are rubbish, why did we let them go? Stupid club. It is so infuriating.
"Great post, Bert. It's great to see you back a bit more often.
HOE (and anyone interested), not sure if you listen to the SC Playbook Podcast at all? They had Adam Driussi (Bulldogs Chariman) on the Podcast this week and it was really interesting…"

It prove the Dogs are cheating the cap and we fuck get ready for another long year with no 5/8
I think he is going to the Dogs because why haven't they sign there half back up yet when he killing them for last year
What then?????
everyone can stop applauding Ryles for what he's doing.
we are last people.

Oh Galvin fell into our laps if we get him no denying that but I believe majority of signings made luck is involved along with timing.
Didn't JR approach Talagi also and the latter basically mentioned he couldn't turn down the opportunity to learn from the best in Cleary.
I mean in all that you could draw any conclusion around his position at Parra and or it being a veiled shot at Moses.

Im not im against him for letting Gutherson and RCG go to of our best player last year
