Well, it's game day and the Eels travel to Lottoland to take on their old rivals the Sea Eagles.
Both teams have several key players out including Tommy Turbo, Walker, AFB, Mitch Moses, Ryan Matterson and Fergo, among others.
There's a bit of salary cap in that list!
Both teams still have plenty of star players in their teams and I think it is here where the Eels have an edge.
Parra have a solid team across the park and arguably more depth than the Sea Eagles. Andrew Davey gets his shot at age 28 and I am looking forward to seeing how he goes.
George Jennings comes in for Fergo and although he's no superstar, he should hold up that side of the field and if he gets one try, it's one more than Fergo has this year!
Jai Field up against DCE will have a massive impact on the outcome of this game. Field just needs to keep on keeping on and not overplay his hand and get kicks deep into the corners.
We saw some horrible efforts with our kicking game last week and I hope that BA has addressed this in the past week.
Reed Mahoney is in career best form at the moment and I believe will be the reason the Eels take the 2 points.
So, who wins and by what margin?
MOM?
GO YOU EELS!!!

Parra by 10 points.
MOM Mahoney.
Did anyone post on here that Andrew Davey is making his NRL debut at 28? I'm excited for him. My second favourite Eel player now. Best wishes to him. How awesome is that to make your day.
Yes, Keet...
"Andrew Davey gets his shot at age 28 and I am looking forward to seeing how he goes".
Prediction and MOM?
There's another player out of tonight game, but I don't want to give Manly the heads up...
Bummer :-((
Andrew Davey looked the goods. Try assist. first game. Manly shot themselves in the foot not completing sets a few times which nearly cost them.
It's one of the best stories of the year. A victory for perseverance and resilience. I hope he goes great and rises to the occasion
Yes I can't wait to see how he goes in 1sts.
Seen him play for Wenty and he always put in a good showing.
Did Davey get any game time? how did he go?
I just think we have too much firepower in our forwards. Junior and RCG are the premier prop pairing, Reed is one of the form hookers in the comp and I still rate our bench over theirs. Just hoping Taka runs the ball hard and straight and that right edge is solid defensively. We'll be switched on for this game. This isn't the same Eels side that drops intensity based on the opposition.
