GALVIN SHOCKS EELS

Lachlan Galvin’s decision to join Canterbury has gone down like a lead balloon with Sydney rivals the Eels.

Sport Confidential can reveal Parramatta bosses were supremely confident of securing Galvin and believed they had their man before being ambushed by the Bulldogs.

It is understood the Eels had tabled a multi-year, $1 million-a-season deal for Galvin to partner Mitchell Moses at the Parramatta scrumbase next year.

But the Wests Tigers young gun shocked the Eels by taking less to go to the Bulldogs.

Galvin’s management have been criticised for allegedly brainwashing the teenager but the 19-year-old made the call to reject Parramatta of his own volition.

  • He is a good player but no 19 year old is worth 1 million a season.

One ACL injury and your cap is destroyed

    • Moses is more likely to get injured than a 19 year old.

      • Moses is also a thousand times more talented. Galvin is potential talent. Moses is realised talent.

        Big difference.

  • Lol so much of this happened, actually this happened, no wait this happened.

  • Sandon Smith is a player that will suceed with moses. Get Smith asap.

  • Don't worry he's not going there to lose money.

We probably needed to be closer to $1.3 to get closer to the dogs total offer (if you include TPAs & other dodgy shit)

    • Bulldogs get set up for life, or so the promise goes - just as Mahoney.

      • Ask Mahoney how that's going now that Gus has deemed him surplus to requirements.

"I agree completely. His athleticism is usually his best weapon but his ball playing within the system was impressive today. He had big Laiafi running at him last week and handled him well which is no mean feat"
