Obviously bias but I've never seen a better 5/8 and that includes Fittler, Daley and Lewis.

Never saw him live of course, thought everyone I know who did, Eels fan or not, raves about how good he was. Even some I know played against him and said they don't know how but he was so strong and fast.
Should be an immortal before Lockyer.
You got excited every time he got the ball. Anything could happen after that, and often did.
Don't have to watch it. Simply the best. Single handedly the reason I ditched the Jets to follow the Eels. Therefore I blame Bert for 6 glorious years and forty years of heartbreak
I enjoyed watching.
I asked him a couple of years ago why he isn't an immortal, he sheepishly answer, "I don't know". The eels legends get absolutely no respect from the league community, probably because we gad such a good team with so many absolute stars.
Good players get missed all the time I think he'll reach that given status eventually.
