EELS ASK DRAGONS FOR SU’A IN 2026!
Reports circulating that the Parramatta Eel’s have made new discussions with the Dragon’s to allow Eel’s new signing for the 2027 season Jayden SU’A join the club early in 2026, off the back of many injuries this is a call for help.
Parramatta Eel’s General Manager of football, Mark O’Neill has stated yesterday in a stadium tour with fans that Eel’s are actively looking at options before the June 30 deadline.
Mark was also asked about Herbie Farnworth, which he indicated that it’s something the club could look at or would love to have on board.

Remember Micheal Jennings was $500K in '13 and we paid 800K in '18 so not sure why everyone saying pay 1M to get Farnworth reckon he'd cost much much more with huge TPAs. We'd have Buckleys getting him for that imo. It's a extra good sellers market right now and will be here on in with tax free clubs. Realistically speaking here.

It all depends on when Petrus is contract to. If MON is to be believed that most of our juniors are locked up long term, Petrus should be signed til 2028. If that is the case we have him then and PNG might lose its charm after a year. That will be the interesting thing on PNG, will those who go last? When Luai signed they said Wests boys will follow. Bula and the May brothers extend straight away.
So we could be ok with Petrus. But if after 2028 the players rave about the compound, then yeah he's gone.
But to digress, if he is here you don't sign Lucas. Save money with Petrus to strengthen other areas.
Lucas will play Origin. If we can land Herbie it would create a snowball effect. Players like Lucas will go to another level playing along side someone like him. If we can land these two players along with Sua, we only need to find an experienced forward and our team would be a top 4 chance.
Get Herbie. Pay the 1M idc if people thinks it's overs. Still will need another outside back with him. Don't need another edge. Sua and Petrus starting edge. Got Williams and Kautoga as depth and even Guymer and Latu. Find an elite middle too.
I don't know what people see in Guymer, he is a fill in at best. We should be aiming higher.
