  • Offer them Kelma

    • I doubt they take it, but i think they would consider it a little.

      • Pezet to finish the year there to give Reed time? Russel?

        • I like the idea of giving them Pezet, if needed to get Sua to us. I think Dragons would be more interested in a half right now, than another forward. They've got some real good young forwards already. From what I've seen of Pezet this year, Volkman has played better. Even Papalii at no.6 when Iongi is back are better options than Pezet IMO.

  • Ok here me out, will get hate for this i know but just spit balling. Would anyone here consider Connor Watson long term to replace Walker?

I have no issue with Walker staying further, he is 33 next year so still has a few years left. Though Watson is younger and can play more positions as well.

Again, will get hate and fair enough but i would not mind either decision.

Getting the likes of Jenkins, Tago, Watson and a top tier forward for 2027 is a pretty good haul. Again, playing fantasy league but that haul improves our team without blocking the paths for our great juniors coming through.

    • I could live with that but we'd have to change our structure but I like how Moses was swinging both sides last night and adding Tago and Milky would be game changing for the outside backs so we could move our starters we have now back to cup where they belong.

The middle someone has to step up one of these young guys or Hopgood comes good again.I'd even play Paulo at 13 as a replacement for Walker.if needs be he can run pass and set the attack off.

Watson would be my 14 here leg speed around tired fowards and back up hooking option also.

      • I am not worried about our young middles. They we'll develop into NRL players with potential to be elite. Very confident on that. But asking them to be top dog in 2027/2028 is probably a bit too early. Outside backs on the other hand, I am terrified what it will look like next year from 2-5. Fox on the wing and got no idea how Simmo will return. The juniors need time as well in the outside backs

      • Exactly Coryn, his position versatility is too good to pass up. He can play in the halves, Lock, Hooker, Centre. He is also 3 years younger. So instead of hoping Walker plays on and worry about replacing him, get Watson for 3 years, no worries of decline anytime soon.

      • I also feel as a tuck under the arm runner, Watson offers more with speed. Walker is a great ball player but offers not too much in running the ball.

    • Hayden Bell is Walkers long term replacement but he is only 17 this year so we do need a stop gap option while he develops even if Walker stays for 2 years. So picking Watson over Walker could be the play given the age difference.
