Oh yeah Tim, Johns and Lockyer know stuff all. Particularly Johns who came back from a broken jaw and string of other injuries that nearly led him to retire before the 2005 season with limited prep delivered one for he greatest individual performances the game has seen as the highest level. He's would know about injuries and coming back from them and how they affect your game. Fifita has missed time through injury but nothing significant. Not saying the injuries are not but not enough for him to miss a lot of game time. He's averaged 20 games a year for last 4 years.
Both Johns and Lockyer merely a day ago have said his form is not good enough he should be performing better. I agree. I also believe as everyone else there is more to do the story the bloke is not happy about something.
I would trust JR to know if he thinks Fifita is suitable to the culture and team he is building. JR won't want to jeapordise what he is creating as all of his new signings / pathway players he brings through have all had great attitude during games. If JR believe he is the right fit then I would love to have Fifita on a max 750k.
I've been thinking past two days about our backrowers, and can really see by end of season Samrani and Latu being mainstays. But that is too much pressure on them.
With Fifita, for less money than he is on, is well worth a punt. If he revs up, man.Â
If Ryles wants him I wouldn't be against it especially if it's for a realistic price of around $700k per year ($600k is nor realistic).
On another note we desperately need to sign a front rower in the next couple of weeks. Having lost rcg in the off-season, ofa and lane as well, Grieg just can't stay off the suspension list and is shit plus the fact ryles refuses to use matterson on top of the injury to tuivaiti it is unfair to continue to send the team out without front rowers.Â
"The Johns brothers aren't paying the money and the hierarchy at Newcastle obviously think different.Browns trash without Moses I think you need to add the team also is too don't forget that bit as this is a team game after all."
"Injury free it's Brown and Hughes the starting halves for the kiwis and that's not even a question.Browns current form is improving because the moving parts around him are improving.
I mean JR.mentioned  this over a month ago in a presser.I've seen…"
"You don't listen, do you. He told the club he wants out, the club comes back with a million $ offer a year over 5yrs to try and change his mind about leaving, he knocked them back. Then you add in what Luau said this week, there is NO chance Galvin…"

Emi apologize for being rude in last post Tim. Upon reflection could have written better.

A preseason with ryles might do him wonders.
We need some aggression and attack in our backrowers so can't hurt to give him a 2 year deal..
Mad if we dont
Wouldnt hurt. Save 600k on Shaun Lane who was useless last 2 years. Wouldnt hurt to transfer that to Fifita and get the odd great game
