People often look at statistics to point to areas where a team is falling down in its execution, and a glaring statistic is that Parra nearly always loses the final 20 minutes of the match. What could…Continue

Sorry but looking at today's performance we will be battling to beat the Knights. What has happened in the last few weeks? What happened to the team that beat the Dragons? Today was a pale imitation…Continue

I am in Sydney this weekend and am going to the Sharks game with my son. This will be the first time since 1986 that I will have seen Parra play in Sydney. Hopefully will go to the club after the…Continue

Posted this blog. Last reply by Poupou Escobar Mar 21 38 Replies

If this year has shown us anything you need good players in every position. At the moment, even with 3 hookers on the roster, our depth in that position has been sorely tested. IDG out with…Continue

Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Alf's discussion 'A signing idea for BA'
"Are you talking about his kick towards the end of the match giving possession back to Tigpies which resulted in their try? We have enough trouble winning matches in the last 20 so lets throw another player who does his best to lose a game. "
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Bazza ' Coach Cronk ' B's discussion 'Tedesco sacrificed 700k to be the best'
"Rumours are $700k on the cap plus $400k TPAs. If this is right don't think he sacrificed anything. Funny how both Roosters and Broncos suddenly have people come out of the woodwork and offer TPAs and the club not involved. Really, does anybody…"
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to jamie's discussion 'The game is officially f*****'
"Funny but are Broncos primed to win gf? Has NRL bet big on this years result? We had yesterday's game and Cowboys v Broncos game where blatant errors were missed/allowed by refs which all favoured Broncos. And how Broncos were allowed to…"
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to patch's discussion 'Player movement opportunities for the eels'
"Maybe Mbye or Lichaa for 9 with Dogs paying some of Mbye's salary if he let go. On $700k apparently, massive overs for him at half."
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Browny's discussion 'James Tedesco, Aaron Woods, Kieran Foran: NRL triple signing winners and losers'
"Yes the salary cap is so good at evening out the comp that the rich clubs get the cream and the poor clubs get..........................................BUGGER ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Trent Lethorn's discussion 'I'm back'
"Parra are reportedly $700k under the cap this year with the cap increasing to around $9m next year. Throw in players whose contract are not renewed means Parra have about $2.5m to spend. Moses will cost about $700k-800k and Evans $400k leaving…"
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Morgs82's discussion 'Reports we have signed Kane Evans for 3 years.'
"Old news, strong rumour for a few weeks now."
Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to Poppa (old people rock)'s discussion 'I'm listening to experts talking about how good our players are, we have a long road ahead and BA is awake to it. We just don't like the way he addresses it.'
"Happens at the end of each game. Think Mannah is the leader of the god squad so a group of Parra & opposition players form a circle praying for a win, I hope, by Parra players. Pity the same enthusiasm isn't shown by the same Parra bplayers…"

Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to genio's discussion 'Well Done Peni "butterfingers" Terepo'
"Well I've been a Terepo knocker for several years now but after his last few performances must admit he has improved immensely. Good hands now, provides impact (pity a lot of our other forwards don't), good defender and good selective…"

Glenn Lifetime Eel replied to eelof99's discussion 'We finally have a good problem!'
"No we have a very bad problem - DEFENCE!!!!!!!!!!! Irrespectve of who we bring in we need to fix it , and fast. We're loosing the ruck, our line speed is slow, we're getting dominated by the attack, defenders falling off, not stopping the…"

Ghost Fromdapast replied to Glenn Lifetime Eel's discussion 'Our Achillies Heal - Final Quarter Blockout'

Alistair Shaw replied to Glenn Lifetime Eel's discussion 'Our Achillies Heal - Final Quarter Blockout'
"When you don't have the skill and class of your opponent, you have to work harder to stay competitive. Even Newcastle go all ok for 30 mins. Two bona-fide halfs and something different at dummy-half and we will all be happy little eels"

Do/have you play footy (If so for who, when, position, etc)?
What changes would you make if you were Eels coach
Start at junior level teaching skills, drills , nutrition & behaviour & appoint good NYC coach. Ensure have proper people to recruit promising & established players from other clubs to fill current or future positions if not available from junior ranks. Although out of coach's hands ensure club all pulling together.
What changes would you make if you were Eels CEO?
Ensure harmony throughout leagues & football club & both sharing same direction.

My Parra history

I have followed Parramatta all my life when I used to go to the old Cumberland Oval to watch the Thornett bros play. Unfortunately very rarely get down to Sydney/Parramatta these days so last time saw them live was last match of regular season when Parra played Souths to be minor premiers in 1986 which I believe is still the record crowd at Parramatta Stadium.
