I ran into my old high school mate on the weekend at the shops and turns out that his younger sister married the son of Brett Kenny.
He showed me pics and said he'd try to organise a meet-up for me and Brett.

Bert was my favourite player growing up.
My old man absolutely loved him and as he was involved in footy circles, I did get to meet him.
They say never meet your heroes and damn that is true a lot of the time but Bert was always gracious and giving of his time.
I remember walking past him in Parra and he was in his sparky gear. I was maybe 9 and was in awe of the great man.
Where and when mate? I might just happen to be there.
I'm not too sure but hopefully it'll be sometime this month.
Make sure to use a rubber, Bert's a stud.
man ParraPride ,,my absolute favourite Eels player ... nice one!.
Should be an immortal I do rate him over Sterlo even though Peter got most of the individual awards
