I thought it was disgraceful. I don't like it. Under IRB rugby laws teams facing the haka must remain at least 10 metres on their own side of the halfway line.
The rule was brought in to stop the teams coming together and shirt-fronting each other in the high emotion of the ritual. There is plenty of time for aggression and toughness during the actual game.
I expect there will be some reaction from the rugby league administration about the event that almost turned ugly.
Just stupidity that it was allowed to happen by the officials. There was almost head butts and punches thrown before game even started. Hypothetically could a player be sin binned or sent off before whistle blown to even start game. Interesting thought isn't it
Really liked that, adds to the theatre. Remember when the senior teams faced off in the World Cup, that was epic. BTW, I'm pretty sure a player can be sent off before the game has started but he would be allowed to be replaced. The referee's power begins when he steps foot on the pitch and continues until after he has left the pitch at full time. The players are on the field of play, in the presence of the referee so I think they could be sent off if a fight erupted.
Jimmy i dont agree, why should one team be able to emotionally and physically dominate another, theres no disrespect about standing up to it on the halfway line, its disrespectul not to stand up to it imo.
The kiwis expect to be able to abuse and challenge us, to make cut throat geasures and pull faces at us and they expect us to stand back and not show one bit of emotion, thats bullshit imo, fuck em.
If anything they are disrespecting and bullying us with the haka, we should be as close as we can get to them staring them down and sending the message we wont be intimidated.
Or they could reply with Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport. They can all bounce around like kangaroos, but look menacing at the same time. It would be very intimidating if you think about it.

"No, Lomax will be on the right, Moses on the left. I believe Moses is on a hiding to nothing playing on the left. I think he was only picked because of what he did in last year's series, imagine the shit they would have copped if they didn't pick…"
"Was hoping neither would be picked as wth both out of the Eels team very highly unlikely to win a game. Origin is a waste of time and only a money making racket. Lost it's appeal years ago"

Very awesome and I commend our boys for their composure whilst telling them-selves it's only a one-sided tradition and I can't take the bait.
very good but who won the game

Good to see Josh Aloiai get right up in the face of the opposition. He certainly has the aggression and skill to play first grade.
The strapping on the knees is a worry though.
