RCG, Matterson and Joey added + Mahoney and Kafusi a year older will big big plusses.
Last year we had a good chance of beating any team except Roosters, Storm and maybe Raiders as well.
Will we be able to step up and be realistic premiership contenders this year? It is a big gap to close - to the top two anyway
Hoping Joey will make a big difference to our game management and effectiveness in the red zone. Matterson will also help improve our red zone attack. And looking forward to NBrown getting opportunities from Junior and RCG pairing up.
Don't know if our middle defence and dominance will improve against the top teams but Mahoney and Kafusi getting older and stronger should help. Mahoney's work load was managed last year but wonder if Junior would be benefit from slightly reduced minutes. Alvaro also is looking like he changing his game plan to more quality over quantity.
Punters have us as a top four but not top tier next year

Fake. Bit hard to help Semi cosidering he doesnt play with the eels
Was talking about if Sivo would be better then Semi with mate as I was writing this so yeah meat Sivo.
The ball stealing rule has helped them. When they should be trapped in their own 20 getting worn out defending repeat sets they steal the ball and go on the offensive.
They also stole a good mobile forward coming through our juniors - Mooney
Maybe Elkin can get a better work rate
We will do better than match them, we will flog them. We are on an upward trend and the Roosters and Storm are in decline. Don't worry about the Raiders, we already have shown we can beat them. This is our year, 2020.
Think this is our year Matterson and rcg are great additions
BA needs to prove he can get a minimum baseline performance out of us.
The best teams arent at their best every week over a 26 round season but their effort is non negotiable. That helps them win some ugly games and build on their performances. BA teams haven't done this in any of the seasons he's coached. Hoefully that's where we build to this year. You can't just compete on weeks where it suits and then expect to be competing on every play once finals roll around, it's built into the best teams DNA throughout the season. Win or lose we need to be competing hard every week to the point where we're competing on every play. Then, the skys the limit.
Think we need another good forward
Unless we are lotto-like-lucky, we won't be a bondafide heavyweight contender until we get tougher under pressure: either mentally or physically; or both.
Joey can help finesse the spine's skills all he likes, which is great, but talent & potential is secondary. We need more hard core.
We will be in it all year as long as we dont have a major injury to a key player. Our depth is questionable and i would love another front rower on the books and im not sure if Brock is going to cover Hooker as well as half and 5/8.
