Sean Russell the most hated eel on the roster. Ryles has given him the confidence to be a starter. He's taken that and run with it.
Give this loan with Pezet thing a chance and let's see what else happens around that before throwing all the toys out of the cot.

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong if Pezet helps the Eels make finals next season, we see no negative impacts on the squad, we lose no juniors, Joash stays, and we have a difinitive 5/8th plan for 2027 to finally replace Dylan Brown.

Well Joash is signed til 2027, so i doubt he leaves before that anyway. But also, with Pezet signing, with Joash already here, i think Joash is out of the equation as far as 5/8's go.

Great points and fair. We are pushed around a lot and let it happen. Been happening for a long time and we should be a powerhouse that the NRL think "Christ don't upset them". Look at what Sydney City get away with or Brisbane or Canterbury. Nobody touches them with who is behind the scenes.
I can understand the thought process that behind the scenes we say we want to do this and people just tell us no you are going to do this and we just reply "OK, Sorry".

Well there isn't really a massive risk. Just more so Pezet could go on to be amazing for Brisbane based on the experience he got at Parramatta. That is the way it goes i reckon but just the feeling we are helping another team that doesn't need it. But then again if he signed a one year deal and no announcement for 2027 but he is playing average people will say good he is gone.
If he plays poor, this is seen as low risk as he is gone after the year. With Hawkins gone Talataina has a path to play in Cup so it does help his development.

Once the origin period hits you know Moses is going to miss a good 6-7 games with rest and origin or niggles. Joash is still going to play some nrl and Lorenzo can develop his game in the background. Very little risk to the club but offers security for Moses and makes us a better team for 2026. Other then people saying "cuck" what's the issue 😂
