Why doubt Ryles ?

Lot of fans are upset with the one year Pezet deal, and I understand that. But let's look at the calls Ryles has made since joining the club.

Gutho and RCG getting moved on immediately got some backlash as well, big call but Ryles was correct. Lot of people didn't like this at the time.

Brought in his own group of players that fit the system he wants to play, might not be big names but they fit the style. Jack Williams Dylan Walker types.

Sean Russell the most hated eel on the roster. Ryles has given him the confidence to be a starter. He's taken that and run with it.

Give this loan with Pezet thing a chance and let's see what else happens around that before throwing all the toys out of the cot.

  • Bulldogs got Galvin, Newcastle got Dylan Brown, Panthers got Blaize (a work in progress also), Tigers kept Douiehi, Eels got an 18 game player who has generously agreed to stay for one whole year to harness experience & learn all he can off Moses, before leaving to play with the defending Premiers.

I can understand why Eels fans are throwing their toys out of the cot, Eli. Personally, I'd like to throw the entire cot out the second story window.

    • Moses has averaged 10 games a season for the last 3 years. I just don't see any downside to having Pezet on our roster for 2026. We maintain full flexibility to search the market for other options as well.

      • It's not what he will provide next season that is the issue It's what happens after that and the fact we will be preparing a player for another team with absolutely zero long term benefits.

It reeks of ryles helping a mate out as pezet didn't have a contact for next season.

Ryles has fallen so far in my eyes he is going to have to re-earn the trust i had in him.

        • That's the part where we have to wait and see where this goes. More movement will have to be made, bascially all this move has done so far is replace Hawkins with Pezet. Just need to wait and see what the future moves will be

          • No, we have replaced Drown with Pezet. For a year. Hawkins was collateral damage.

        • How do you know there is zero benefit to Parramatta? When the deal hasn't been done yet, let alone the mechanations of all other player movement around that in 2026 and 2027?

          • That's what I'm saying a ball hasn't been kicked yet 😂 let's just give it a chance lol

            • Don't talk sense Eli....its not welcome on this forum. Ryles already knows who is playing in the 6 for 2027. Pezet for a year is the best option available for 2026

              • Just trying to be as positive as possible for the forum because the negative stuff will build up and take over 😂 we have to keep moving forward 😂

                • No. We can definately move backwards Eli.
