I can admit I've never had a high opinion of Stuart as a Head Coach. Until his appointment at Canberra he had a track record of leaving clubs in a far worse position than when he found them. The day he ditched the Eels mid-contract (after sacking half our roster) was a huge relief.
The Canberra Raiders have been declining badly since they made the GF in 2019. But it's not just on the field they've had issues. Players leaving mid contract, players leaving disgruntled, wives publicly criticising the Coach. Add all that to the on field decline and questions need to be asked about what is happening at that club. And to top it all off, you have Ricky disgracing himself at post match pressers, shaming his own players, blaming referees, blaming the NRL etc. It's absolutely awesome to watch him implode (one of my favourite NRL things to do) but at what point will Raiders members and the media begin to question if Stuart is the right man for the job anymore? The bloke is made of Teflon. The spotlight should be squarely on him by now just like it is with other Head Coaches who reside over a rabble.

This is an issue of hiring former greats of your club, have an attachment to them. Remember when they had David Furner, took them forever to sack him and he was worse than Ricky. Now granted, David also had Don there at Canberra which prolonged his coaching career but David is still a Raiders legend.
Ricky i think could be gone by years end, though Canberra never is an attractive place for a young coach to go, more so geographically. Their facilities are top notch, their junior set up has potential but just never seems to be overly attractive. They could never get a Ciraldo or a Fitzgibbon if he was still available, maybe they could get a Paul Green? or a coach that simply wants their foot in the door but they wont get the next boom hire. So they must look and think let's just stick with Ricky for time being.
Teflon, as you said. I don't get why? The media appear to be scared to ever criticise him.
He's got lots of friends in the media. You watch how Kent & Crawley will defend him next week.
To be fair Bert the media never want to knock coaches unless their team is on record breaking ground like Wests with starting 0-5 for first time in club history.
NRL 360 people believe coach is never at fault, which I ask why praise them if they cannot control their performances when they lose?
Too many mates in the media who won't diss him cos he is a legend of game from his canberran exploits as a player, alongside mal, clyde etc none get criticised.
The guy has also been given a rails run with every team he has ever coached and as said above, he has left every club in a much worse position than he came to then.
he is a myth and a flog at the same time, but in saying that they wouldn't have much competition for guys wanting the raiders job.
He was a regular at many a red light establishment with some well known media personalities back in the day , and a few other high profile people including some top society family members. He has dirt. We'd see their little crew after a big day at the races bar hopping with the owner of said establishments .
stilettos? and a mate of foran and co?
Wiz, lol. As long as he isn't near any part of our club or team, his business is his. His pressors are classic.
PS: The RL world sounds not too dissimilar to the construction industry, where plenty of dirty money goes. Glad I don't need to see Mick Gatto on Melbourne sites anymore.
Wizards “$$ PROF EMERGENCY $$ ”Sleeve interesting Wiz, you seem to be on the know here. Interesting as the crew on NRL 360 over the years particularly old Japanese flag face Rothfield have always peed in his pocket along with Crawley.
Da Rock could not agree more Rock. He has been given a rails run and hiring ex players can often lead to tears. He has had more than a good run...one coach i felt for was Toovey, he could have been given more of a go as a coach. He does leave clubs worse off.
