With it looking very likely that Lachlan Galvin will not be joining us who will be our 6 next year?
Here some options
-Bailey Hayward looked good replacing Burton and pathway blocked to start in the halves.
- Ronald Volkman
- Lorenzo Tailatana
-Lachlan Cokknias
- Jonah Pezent

Ditto. This.
Whats happening with Tyran Wishart, I heard he was going to resign with Storm at the beginning of the year but hasn't and ever since then he been only playing around 20 minutes a game even when the storm smashed tigers he only played around 25 minutes when they took off their stars.
1. As I said before, Galvin would've been nice but I still would've preferred not signing a 6.
2. If we had to, my option would've been someone older or more versatile, so we can keep developing the halves already here, whether older ones like Papalii, Volkman, Lynn and more importantly Twiddle (who I think is the one) or the likes of Talataina and Fletcher.
3. Which brings me to Sandon Smith, who can play 6, 7 and 13. And kicks goals. I think he'd be quite a good addition and can cover Dylan Walker too.
On another note, I am also just not what the Dogs wanna do with Galvin? Him and Burton halves? They must've promised him th e7 jersey for him to go.
I am backing Ryles in.
The players will come. All teams are seeing what is happening at Parramatta. Centre of Excellence, playing good football and processes are stating to work.
Top 8 this year and a premiership within 5.
I am glad we missed Galvin, a lot of money for a snotty kid.
It makes 2026 a problem for sure.
Ok we name a young guy like Joash or Volkman. You now have yet another rookie in a key position. In a squad already teeming with rookies. We'll be another few years waiting for them to get the experience necessary.
You name a more experienced player who isn't a 5/8 typically and suddenly you have a player learning the ropes.
The bottom line is the Eels have lost Brown and Talagi, and couldn't sign Galvin. The R&R have shit the bed here.
Still a lot of money to spend I'm sure Ryles and his team are evaluating what options there are for next year. Let's just focus on this season and improving each game. Brown and Moses still have 15 or so games together and that's better then most teams halves
They're evaluating that now because they literally don't have any choice. We've gone from having the current NZ 5/8 plus a locally developed product in the lower grades to having nothing. That's just incompetence.
I'm throwing Walker into 6 next year if there isn't a replacement ready made on the market.
Nah, then we lose what he is doing in the middle. Find someone.
%100 Walker 6 now and you pivot to developing our young halves but spend the bucks on the forward pack and give Walker and the young blokes a platform to play off.
Shit doesn't go your way , accept and adapt.
We have points in our backs with plenty of speed , a quality 3/4 would be perfect but there's definitely a team here.
