Tyrell Sloan

Played over 50 first grade games, plenty of speed very talented and can play multiple positions ready to find his potential in the right team and I'd imagine at a bargain price.. Definately more upside then a few of the flops we have now! Do we try and sign him?

      • I do not have a big issue with Sloan, defensive is a big issue. But i have an issue with people abusing Penisini when Sloan is worse and is the golden child. Plus we do not need Wingers, Lomax and JAC are fine. If you need Centres, i think forwards are more important than focusing on Centres, then Sloan is not the one.

You cannot teach speed but is it worth it if he lets in 2 tries and gives the ball back more than most players?

If Lomax could play the roaming role why did Ryles move him? He can do that now with Russell playing Wing.

If we did sign Sloan we could do worse, but just find it hilarious that his deficiencies are fine when worse than those who get abused.

        • If you need a centre, i would be chasing Deine Marina from the Broncos. I doubt he would be happy atm, Maguire doesn't seem to like him. He has as much, if not more speed than Sloan, and better defensively.

          • Mariner i do like. I doubt Ryles is even considering looking at backs. But if we did sign Mariner i would be happy with it.

  • The question is he better than stonestreet, or the other sharkies or Broncos or titians etc. Unless lomax goes to centre mo need buying a winger/fb.

    • I'd be certainly discussing the centre spot with Lomax again . Where there's a will , there should be a way when a decent players an opportunity.

Price is the determining factor. If it's attractive then you'd have to weigh up the risks / rewards of moving arguably the best winger in the world to centre.,

we know Lomax isn't opposed to moving in, but can it work with more time ?

      • I think Lomax with more coaching in the off season definitely could make it at centre. Some of those passes recently were like the crow. The one this weekend putting will down the side line. Someone like sloan would thrive under jR s systems. Would have the fox to tutor him as well.

        • More coaching, we are acting like Lomax has always been a Winger and moved to Centre for a year and failed. He played numerous seasons at Centre for Dragons. Turns out he is a better Winger. If he is moved back to Centre then fair i have no issues with it but many here were abusing Ryles to move Lomax back to the Wing, now they want him to move him back?
